My whole shelf is filled with standard regular sized dvd anime collections, and now everything is being made into thin-paks and box sets. I, myself prefer the regular dvd cases and the collectors artbox, which makes it look more interesting. The thin-paks and box sets don't do justice to my collection. Does anyone else agree?
Hello, I'm animeuserone. I'm new to ebay and I'm mainly a buyer right now.. I really don't have alot to say right now but I hope to have a good time with this group. Thanks for reading
Has anybody watched the series Samurai 7. It's an anime version of the old B & W movie. What's neat about the show is that there is a combination of future and past. What I mean is that these samurai come to help a village defend their rice from the emperor. It's quite obvious by the huts they are living in that this doesn't take place in the present or future. Yet, part of the emperors soldiers, are a group of robots. You would think that the time difference would be upsetting to the viewer, but it's really not. It actually fits very well.
Hello, everyone! I was trying to think of a topic to start and I saw something that made by eyes go---hmmm?
There it is. Have you had anime fans, magazines, media or watchers brag or tell you about an anime they were watching? How everybody like it, it is really new, so innoviate, and haves good art. Believing them; you go buy it, rent it, or whatever you do to get it. When watching it, you wonder what people saw in it to make it really good to them or they were smoking crack.

Hello, everyone. animeuserone again here. I found what I consider to be a important legal subject on manga/anime and everybody constitutional rights. I will to be fair and objective as possible on the issue. There are the facts as far as I know of them
The person concern is Chris Handley. Handley is considered a founder of American manga (that is the translation of Japanese comic books into English and licensed to be published in U.S) industry that bloosomed during the mid 1990s craze. He is also a collector of Japanese imports Some of the imports are manga and anime. He had shipped them to a residence he had in the state of Iowa. Sometime during the 2006-2008, a random checking of opening packages was conducted by either U.S. Postal Services or U.S. customs. They do this in order to make sure that nothing illegal or dangerous comes through the mail. One of these packages was Handley. What the packages contain are in question. Court records and spokepeople say it contains ( where people--you get idea and find out Evil LOL joke). It "contains" young girls. Handley and his lawyers claim it involved only yaoi. The police issued a warrant for the search of Handley's residence in Iowa. They found other material that they considered questionable in nature Police arrested him and change with transporting lewd items over state lines. This could had gotten him 20 years Some of the charges were dropped but not all. In the end of May 2009, Handley was plead guilty to the rest of the charges. He should get, if convicted, 15 years in prison. I got most of these facts from www.animenewsnetwork.com and other sites on the web. As far as I know, no local, state or federal law haves officially been to make some manga/anime illegal or all of it. Manga/anime, if you love it or not, does have diverse tastes or cultural differences. There are some like Panda Go Panda (1970s anime for children having the character doing head stands when excited and showing her upside down with her panties-for laughs and cuteness) to one towards an adult male audience (ex. Chobits). Japan, like us have different tastes when it comes to the age factor and may prohibit their children from seeing and viewing them.
What I'm wondering if the manga he brought was considered illegal to have or distribute within our country? If it was illegal, why was he using it? Was it for display/bragging rights for his collection, or was it for some illegal and dangerous kinky thing he had that could actually harm someone in society? Was the federal government or the state of Iowas overreacting to the problem or was it just? Should Handley have the right to read what he wants in the privately of his own home, or should the whole community be considered as a whole? Will it lead to further banning of them and other things (Opinion- I think if manga/anime is ban, I think a backlash will happen which will cause lawmakers to repeal the ban)
Sorry this was long but I want to support the things I like doing and stop it from spreading to other things people liked.
