Hey everyone, this has now been featured on CNN and NBC. There's a company called Transcendent Innovations (known as 'Trainn'), founded in Jan 2005, which is basically a marketing company. They represent advertisers such as Blockbuster, Netflix, Gamefly, Scholastic Books, etc. Those companies pay Trainn to get consumers (you and I) to try their services. They figure the direct cost of trying to market something to and decide why not pay that to someone who can guarantee them a whole bunch of new eyeballs. For a one month trial to Blockbuster.com (total cost of $10), you'll be able to get a brand new Nintendo Wii. Here's how this very simple process works (some people on eBay actually try to sell this information!).
You may want to print these instructions out before getting started.
STEP 1: Sign Up
Follow this link: http://www.YourNintendoWii4Free.com/index.php?ref=5436076
That will take you to the sign-up page. Just follow the simple instructions to sign up - I suggest you set your account as a 'Referral' account, rather than a 'Points' account. That way, you'll only need to complete one trial offer, and will get a few of your friends to do the same (but more on that later). Once, you're signed up, Trainn will send you an email confirming your account. Now you're all set to get that offer completed and out of the way.
STEP 2: Complete an Offer
When you first log in to the site, you'll see a tab labeled 'Progress' - this shows how far along you are to getting your free Nintendo Wii. Now click on the tab labeled 'Offers' Look through and find an offer that interests you. There are plenty of great trial offers from companies like Blockbuster, Netflix, Scholastic Books, Gamefly and others. My suggestion is to sign up for Blockbuster.com - for $10 you get a one month trial to their online service where you select the movies you want to watch and they mail the dvds to you! Its a great offer, simple to complete, and for only ten bucks completes your main requirement for getting your free Wii. And its simple to cancel - just make sure you do it before the end of your one month trial and you wont be charged another dime.
STEP 3: Get 5 Referrals
Here's the last step - getting referrals. To get your free Nintendo Wii just get 5 people to do what you did - sign up for a new account using your own unique referral link (found on the 'Progress' tab). As soon as they sign up and complete their one offer requirement your account will be updated to show credit for that referral.
STEP 4: Your Wii is on its way!
Sounds easy, and it is. Again, this is just a way for big corporations to target some of their marketing dollars direct to consumers. Take advantage of it and let them buy you a brand new Nintendo Wii! All you have to do is click on this link to get started:
Im probably the last person on earth that doesnt own an MP3 player. Is the apple ipod worth the high price or would a less expensive brand be just as good?
Hey there eBayers. Ok, not totally free - you may spend $10 renting a months worth of DVDs from Blockbuster.
Advertisers pay big money to get you to view their products and services - whether its through tv commercials, print ads, in store promotions, etc. Well, internet advertisers have come up with a way of paying you directly rather than using a middle man - in this case, in the form of a brand new Nintendo Wii. Its a small price for them to pay to know that you're seeing their marketing directly (and not tivo-ing through their commercials!)
All you need to do is sign up for one trial offer with with a company like Blockbuster, Netflix, Gamefly, or many others and you'll be on your way to a totally free Nintendo Wii (the most you'll spend is $10 on a trial like Blockbuster.com).
I'm here to help if you have any questions. I've created a blog entry with all of the details. Follow this link to get started:
I bought the Jaadu VNC app for iPod Touch. It was simple enough to set up and I am getting connectivity -- Jaadu Connect shows "Sharing On." Problem is nothing shows up on my iPod Touch as a server. It should be finding my iMac but it is showing nothing at all. My wireless network is an AirPort Extreme (with one AirPort Express). I've been through all the troubleshooting tips on the Jugaari/Jaadu Web site, so I am configured exactly as they specify. But for some reason the automatic server discovery that's supposed to kick in for Jaadu on my iPod Touch isn't working. (Note that my iPod Touch is definitely connecting to my network -- I can get out to the Internet quite easily. And it is using the same Wi Fi network as my iMac.) Anyone have this problem? Anyone have any ideas? I'd love to get Jaadu running. Thanks very much in advance for any thoughts. I appreciate it.

With the iPhone update AND price slash to $200, and the fact that the last release/update of the iPod touch has been about 173 days, where 150 is the usual estimation for an upgrade, iPod touches are not worth it to buy for upwards of $250 or more.
The point being, there will most likely be a iPod touch update in September or sometime in the Fall.
Buy only if you need to, the Macbook from Apple from now also offers a free iPod touch with a promotional deal.
