I am new to selling on Ebay and I would like to know if anyone had any tips for me. Right now I'm just trying to sell one of my pieces just to see how it works out. So if anyone could give me some advice that would be cool.
I am looking to discuss this artist with someone that know his work. I have two pieces and I have had no luck finding anything on the entire www in my research. One exception though is someone (anonymous from SLC) posted on wantitnow.listing.ebay that they were looking for this artist. They stated this artist mostly did works related to Montana and Park City, UT. Anyone out there know this artist and his work?
Recently visited the MoMA Dali Paint/Film exhibit, a true wonder. Here is a link to a promo poster for the exhibit only found on NYC Subway Cars. Extremely Rare poster, wonderful for any Dali admirer.
I am looking for ecologically minded artists with 100 percent feedback. If you are an artist who sells recycled art, please contact me the_violet_butterfly@yahoo.com thanks so much!

Hello, I have been selling part time on eBay for a few years, just a few things here and there. I have just recently put an ad in the local paper to offer to sell on consignment. I have had a few calls, but today I found a client who wants me to sell his art collection which sounds quite valuable. He named some of the artists; Don Getz, Marc Chagall, Charles Katyte? I (am not sure of the spelling of that artists name yet) He also has Chinese porcelian and bronze statues that has been in his family for a hundred years or so. I really want to do a good job and help both of us to get the best deal. 1) What is the best way to pack and ship paintings? What materials/boxes/bubblewrap should I use? Do I double-box them?
2) I told him I would sell them for 10% I feel that is a reasonable fee, but I don't want to cheat myself or the client. Does that sound fair?
3) I read a thread on here about photographing paintings and artwork to list on eBay. I have photographed paintings and other artwork in the past and like the person said in the discussion, I just couldn't get a good, clear picture that would do it justice. There were some good suggestions in the answer to that discussion, but does anyone else have any other tips? I only have a 5.0 megapixel digi camera.
I hope I dont' sound too neurotic, haha. I just really want to be good at this and in an instance like this I don't want to make any mistakes to cause the client to lose money or to ruin a good buisness relationship with this person and others as well.
I hope someone can give me some good advice. I learn fast. Thanks so much Wendi a.k.a. akasha011
Hello, I basically sell my oil paintings on ebay, but recently i have been doing artwork with spray paint. I want to hear your thoughts on spray paint art compared to oil and other forms of paint.
NEON PARK artist/ illustrator did the cover for FRANK ZAPPA and the mothers of invention:"weasels ripped my flesh".later, he also did all the artwork for the band Little Feet.In his Artist Book "Over The Rainbow" his album covers as well as the series of pinup ducks that were popular in the late 70's is still available on Amazon.com.His great sense of humor and humility profoundly reflects in his work.Although well known for the album covers, his other works stand alone in the realm of pop art as humorous ,fun and with the refreshing reminder that we should not take ourselves so seriously.Neon Park passed away in 1993 from A.L.S. He still pokes fun at us with his art.
I just thought other artist's should know that there is a buyer who is calling original paintings prints in his feedback. I was hurt when I first saw the feed back he left me saying, "the print arrived safely." So I checked up on his feedback to other artist's he is calling everyones original paintings prints. Is he trying to wreck our reputations saying we are selling prints not originals? I may block him as a buyer.
