Hello everyone, Im looking to purchase a bunch of autographs for resale as that is one of the things I know about. Any hints or leads are appreaciated.
Hi, I collect boxing, UFC, horror, and racing autographs. Some to keep and some to re-sale. Anyone just wanting to talk come check out my world sight............ROD
In the sports collectible market there are a few things that baffle me to no end. Here is one: Why anyone thinks a high graded Selig ball is special or deserves a premium is beyond me. In my opinion, grading is only useful for items that have age and or vintage to them. (Same thing with cards made after 1980) Older baseballs that are signed are, and should be, much more desirable. The problem with many in the eBay community is that they just do not seem to get this. I see it reflected in sales and pricing all of the time. A 9.5 Koufax on a Selig ball is not anywhere near as valuable as an 8 on a Feeney ball. The vintage of the item signed should always be considered. I am in no way referencing an autograph grade here. I am speaking in terms of the baseball itself.
The other day I purchased ($4.25) a picture from a Goodwill store that I identified to have quality autograph's 11 to be exact. The picture is a drawing of a comic looking football player and addressed to a Miss ? can't make the name out. From Austin and Bo Grace. Around the perimeters are 11 autograph's with numbers. When I got it home and started to study the names I could only make one. The autograph is Trent Green #10 that played quarterback in the NFL. I checked the signing against autograph cards on eBay and found that it was real. What I need is help trying to identify the rest of the autograph's before posting this on eBay. If I send a picture to someone, can you help me? Please advise.
