As a long-time fan, i originally preferred the first era of Beatles' songs, but later was leaning toward the second. They're all amazing songs obviously, but i suspect everyone is slightly more partial to one or the other so...which is it and why?
i have several music dvds in personal collection some in my store, concert for george, concert for bangladesh, rolling stones circus with john lennon and the dirty mac, paul mcartney in red square are there any better ones or less known ones. I love the beatles and all their solo dvds.
Do I dare touch this contraversial question???? Maybe it's already been touched on this site. Touched, hell, it could have been beaten to death, but I don't see it posted at the moment. Ok, let's have it... and I don't want any smart a**** giving a technical answer like "Stu Sutcliff". LOL!!! Just joking, answer anything you want!
well some say the Beatles, but most say zeppelin.............. even paul...... If you like top 40, repetitive and bubble gum, listen to the Beatles, face it the Beatles sold there selves out for top forty media hype, if you play there stuff as a musician its so easy its boring to play , if you like complicated music that explores so many different styles and venues, try tackling some things that zep did.........good luck.............. number two band of all time Beatles, Wings did better things then the Beatles
There was a comment about Pauls Hofner Bass, whats its worth,if its the same one he used thru all these years, and im sorry to say that The Hofner you see Mac playing thru out the recent tours and dvds,is the not the same one, from a chap i ve known for years that worked at The Hofner Company for many years,as it was told to me,the orginal Hofner bass,Paul has it well kept in one of his estates under very careful care,in a vault of some kind,Again as told to me,The Hofner company-Germany not the Usa one, made Paul about 24 Hofner clones, which lets not call them clones but as close as his orginal for his tours all around the world,if you have the dvds or have had seen Pauls Bass in concert, you can easy see that there are different ones,Ive Met Sir Paul and his guitar tech at a show here in Florida and between one thing and another,i took a peak at a room where Pauls roadies kept the guitars and Basses, and to my surprise i saw at least 4 Bullet shaped bass casses,i have 4 Hofner Basses myself and i know what the cases look like, at this point i made a comment to his Guitar tech after he had downed a few drinks i might add, hey whats with all the Hofner Cases, his statement was- different ones for different Shows,His last comment to me was-Did you think that Paul played his orignal bass,it couldnt take all the wear n use of touring thru out the decates! Which believe it or not makes alot of sense! So yes Mac uses different Hofners, and im not even going to get into Pauls Cavern bass, thats another story all together,Anyway i love The Beatles always have and always will!
