	Lennon/McCartney crediting...clarify something pleeeeaassee! I feel stupid, like I should know this.... songs are credited to "Lennon-McCartney", even though they may have been written by only one or the other. Why is this???? 	PLESANT SURPRISE!!! Last month after my sweet MOM died almost two years to the day my DAD had died. While going through tons of stuff to sort ,keep ,sell ,or give away ,I found my jacket sleeve to the BEATLE record RAIN/PAPERBACK WRITER,in a old trunk. It is pristine! 	a most amazing fact..... Did you know that the Beatles have received 21 gold recordsSINCE THEY BROKE UP! No other band in the history of music has even received one gold record after the split up of the band and only a handfull of bands received 20 or more when they were together.The Beatles received 19 gold records in only 7 years of recording together. 	The songs The Beatles did not write! It is a well-known fact that The Beatles were all great musicians, vocalists and songwriters. However, let us not forget about how good they were covering other people's material. On the CDs "Please Please Me", "With The Beatles", "Beatles For Sale", "Help!", "Past Masters Volume One", "Anthology 1", "Anthology 3", and "Live At The BBC", there are some excellent examples of how this famed quartet of British rock royalty could easily transform other people's compostions and adapt them for their own arrangements. As a matter of fact, It would be a great idea for Apple/EMI/Parlophone to release a CD of only Beatles cover tunes together. While we have been blessed with titles like "Yellow Submarine Songtrack", "Beatles 1", "Let It Be...Naked", "The Capitol Albums, Volume 1", "The Capitol Albums, Volume 2" and "LOVE", there has never yet been a Beatles album containing only the songs the band did not write. I, myself, have already taken matters in hand and created my own version, featuring just the original 24 cover tunes first released between 1963 to 1965, during the height of Beatlemania. This idea goes as far back as 1974. This collection proves, once and for all, that The Beatles were a great cover band. 	How do you find good Beatles albums without overspending? Hi, I am a huge fan of the Beatles and I would like to start collecting original Beatles albums. I just wanted to know what to look for when buying and how do I know if I am being ripped off or not? I had alot of original albums 20 years ago and when I got married, I did not take them with me when we moved out of town and they got sold in a garage sale along with many other classic rock albums.
