I believe it is the Pentax K1000 SE 35mm film camera. Check out my eBay store. I have one with lots of extras at a great price. The Pentax 1000K SE film camera has been a great "students" camera for many years. They are durable, reliable and can be found at very reasonable prices.

I recently decided to try my hand at using an SLR and reurrected an old XG-M from basement that I never really learned how to use well. One thing led to another and now I own several and a broad variety of lenses...and am also getting in a few x-700's.
So anyone out there shooting with these cameras? I've been replacing light seals and capacitors. Testing out the bases. Starting to shoot with them. Hopefully this weekend headed out to shoot a roll or two of film in some nice weather on Sunday.
Manually exposing with the meter might be a good place to start. The XG-M and I think the 700 do not have spot metering but "center-weighted". I try to fill the frame with a tone that I can identify then meter to it and "push" it where it goes. That generally works pretty well for me. The lack of a spot meter makes expsoure with the meter a little more challenging than it is on my digitial point and click which has manual features and spot metering.
I have a Nikon Coolpix S4. Great camera, excellent photos, easy to use. However, I've had a couple of questions about the camera and replacement parts and there was no help at all form the manufacture. I went to the Nikon site, found a place to e-mail inquiries. I was quite specific in my questions. I got NO response at all. Not even an acknowledgment. My question is: Can someone who has had good communication with the manufacture suggest a replacement for the S4? I prefer a name brand. Thanks for your help!
I want to know how to use the different lens for the old fashion type cameras. I have several but I'm not sure how to best use them. I would also like to get additional lenses but don't know how or what to buy. I like balck and ahite ohots and would like to take this upa as a serious hobby.
