I'm new to the interchangeable lenses I purcased the 100-300mm on E Bay and I'm used to the twist zoom this lens slides in and out by hand is this typical?I'm not complaining it takes beautiful pictures and the auto focus is fast.I've just never seen this before.
I am starting my first photo studio of which I have downloaded pictures of. I have a brand new Canon Rebel XTI EOS 400D. I have been doing photography for 12 years but I was using my Canon PowerShot G2. I have read and re-read the book on how to set up the white balance but it is just going over my head. Could some one please look at my pictures and tell me what I am doing wrong. Please help me. This is going to be my only source of income because I had to leave a 28 yr. abusive relationship 8 months ago. tigerbaby573@aol.com
I've been taking pictures for a couple of years now for fun, but now I've got lots of people asking me to take pictures for them. I have a Canon Rebel XT and I have three lenses for it. The regular one that comes with it (18-55mm), a long lens (not sure the distance atm), and a portrait lens. I have two filters - one is a soft focus filter which I LOVE to use for maternity pictures, and I don't know what the other is because I haven't used it yet. My question is this- what product would be the most useful to get next? A different lens? A lens hood? An external flash? I want to get something that will be the MOST useful for me! I take maternity, newborn, children, family portraits, and the occasional wedding photo. I'd do more wedding photos (people keep asking me to) but I'm worried that I need a whole bunch of expensive stuff in order to do weddings.
Hi, I need an extra battery for my Canon camera. Is it advisable to purchase and use the inexpensive ones I am finding on ebay ? Will these inexpensive batteries damage my camera? Thanks!
Just wanted to share this with you guys. Now you can get, up to 36% of the seller's fees whenever you buy something on eBay, and if you have an ebay store you can list it for FREE. Your listing will be seen by an active community of eBayers who have made millions of dollars in eBay purchases through this website in the past year alone.

I have a Rebel XTi and I love it. I am thinking about getting some accessories and need some advice. I need a hood, telephoto lens, and a flash that will help with inside dark shots/outside at night. What do you recommend for each item I am looking to get? I understand that IS lenses are the best. I am hoping my hobby will turn into something more. I plan on taking a photography class to get more ideas, etc.
HOW MANY PEPOLE OUT THERE ARE BIG INTO WILDLIFE PHOTOGRAPHY IAM GETTING INTO IT I HAVE A CANON 300MM LSERIES F/4 STOP LENS INTERNAL STABLEATION WHAT OTHER LENS DO YOU GUYS SUGGEST I GET
Ok, so I finally got my first SLR camera, A Canon XTI to be exact. I’m looking at the accessories and saying to myself “I would like to have that” this is until I seen some of the prices dealing with strictly Canon lenses. Now, I’m a believer of “you get what you pay for” but I also believe that somewhere some has matched your quality for a little bit less money. My questions to you, the pros are:
1. Is there a legitimate company who makes compatible lenses for the XTI? 2. What type of lenses should I be looking for if I’d like to do portrait, model, weddings and event photography?
I just wanted to ask if anyone has used any of the cords made by 3rd parties. I'm looking at buying a kit that has the flash/bracket/diffuser that I want, but I really wanted the Canon brand OC-E3 cord. It comes with one that is supposedly comparable, whatever that means.
When I first bought my canon eos I was the happiest except the seller did not warn me about the need to know how to use it, well it turns out I used two rolls of film and took pictures of everything and everyone that would let me ( I was inspired ) a few arguments later with my better half and all, I took my rolls to develop. to my surprise .. none of my pics were focused or clear they looked really bad. I thought I had actually taken good ones. the moral of my story? read the manual first! patience and practice( I know I tried.)
i have been lookin and pricing the canon s3 and s5 some are going for 250.00- and up ( NEW ones) i was wondering if anyone had or knew somewhere where i could get a GOOD used one or whatever a lil cheaper.. i am just starting out taking pictures.... thanks..
