Hey, everybody. I have a ticket in the balcony for Alanis at the Paramount Theatre in Oakland tonight (Nov. 17). I can't go. Printed-at-home ticket from Ticketmaster. $40.00 (what I paid). I DO NOT WANT TO MISS THIS SHOW BUT I HAVE NO CHOICE! I have seen her before but sure would like to make it but can't. Let me know somebody. Ticket is good, not a dupe (how stupid would that be). Pickup at my house or deliver(Ineed to take my motorcycle for a ride anyway!)

Has to be the shark story involving the zeppelin tour when they were in California. From what I understand happen and robert plant has denied this , but I heard that some body and I dont Know who apparently caught a shark and took it to one of the hotel rooms , and there was a bunch of people in the room and this chick started to have sex with this shark and perform all kinds of things with this shark. Now what I don't get is, if this fish was out of water for some time did it happen in a tub full of salt water or is this just one of those LSD influenced situations, they were quite common in the 70s. But at any rate this is the wildest rock story I ever heard of...........any one else want to add, this should turn out to be a decent discussion. LOL
In my opinion, jimmy page with out a doubt will go down as the most versatile guitarist of all time . His resume speaks for itself , you have guys that can play , and are considered the best at their type of style . But page can play just about any style and rate high in all of the styles he plays, you cant say that for to many people.Plus to go along with that, he is excellent in the studio. his resume goes way beyond zeppelin he has played on so many different hits for world class bands. In my opinion we wont see another page. But as far as present time al di meola has been rated number one the planet, for the past few yrs, at a very high level..........
Who would you consider the best rock vocalists? It would be hard to chose one so just throw some out there to see who agrees. Here are some of my picks: Paul Rodgers (Bad Co.), Ian Anderson (Jethro Tull), Steve Perry( Journey), Steve Walsh (Kansas), Ann and Nancy Wilson (Heart), Freddie Mercury (Queen)
LETS GO WITH THIS AND SEE HOW MANY OF THE GUYS MENTIONED CAN FILL THESE SHOES.CARMINE APPICE IS LEGEND FOR HIS WORK WITH THE VANILLA FUDGE BACK IN THE SIXTIES AND THAT IS GOOD.BUT THE REAL PROOF OF HIS PROWESS IS THAT HE IS STILL PLAYING AND TEACHING TODAY.I HAVE BEEN GOING TO SHOWS SINCE 1964 AND HAVE REALLY SEEN THEM ALL AND YOU OLD TIMERS WHO FORGOT DINO DANELLI OF THE YOUNG RASCALS ARE TO BE SHAMED,HE IS REALLY RATHER GOOD WITH LOTS OF REALLY GOOD STOPS(YOU MUSICIANS KNOW WHAT THEY ARE) AND THE ABILITY TO DRIVE A BAND.I HAVE PLAYED IN MANY BANDS MYSELF AS A GUITAR PLAYER SINCE 1963 AND HAVE TO ADMIT THAT THE TOUGHEST SEAT TO FILL IS THE DRUMMERS THRONE AS GUITAR PLAYERS CAN FAKE IT,BASS PLAYERS CAN SMEAR IT BUT IF THE DRUMMER IS WEAK IN HIS ACCENTUATION OR HAS POOR TIMING,THIS HAD LED TO MORE BAND ARGUMENTS THAN BROADS.
