A paper from South Carolina had an article about a man from Bochum. He was planning a camping trip when he found that his tent had been stolen. He went to ebay to find another, and found one just right, it was the one that had been stolen from him 10 days prior. Using information provided by the seller he found out his address, told police, who then raided the guy and not only recovered this guy's tent, but found other peoples items that had been burglarized, that he had recently sold, was keeping, or planning to sell.
How many plain on buying the 3 in, 5 oz Silver National Park Quarters starting next year? As of right now I have no plans of buying any, but how about you.
I won an 1869 S half dime last night and when I went to pay for it there was an "additional charge from seller" of $1.75 added to the final price in red lettering at the paypal checkout. I sent an email to the seller asking what is was for. He charged $3.95 for shipping so I assumed the insurance was included because he stated it was required. I just sent the email to him so it will be a while 'til I find out what the deal is but has anyone else been scammed like this? I never saw that before. I feel like I got jipped out of an extra $1.75.
I use to collect these coins years ago, but got tired and dont like the fact that so many of them are made all around the world and you never know which ones are made in Austria, i mean even the restrikes are not made in Austria. counterfeits are the problem here.
Welcome to the "hood" everyone! I see in the past 7 days we have added 42 new members.... the fourth highest membership gain on eBay. Also noticed we have become the second most viewed neighborhood in the last week! Again, WELCOME and please feel free to share your thoughts and opinions :-)
My recent addition to obtain all the Jefferson varieties, though not AU, I would grade it as EF45, it is a good strike for this variety, and I acquired it at a good price.
I have what I think is an old 1859 $1 dollar gold peice,I do not have a coin shop near me. what is the best route to take to get it appraised and sold. Oh it is a D mint. thanks
Hopefully my coins will come in soon, this year I will pass out Silver dollars to all the nieces and nephews. "cheap uncle only gave me a dollar" ! In 25 years it should be worth more than a savings bond.
Why do people drill holes in coins ?? Does it make them worthless ?? Have you ever bought a coin with a hole drilled in it ?? Seems like a waste of money, but like they say "a fool and his money....."
