I have a 1986 $ 50 gold proof American Eagle . I have had it since 1986 . I have it up for Bin or Best Offer now at $ 1900. I am getting offers at $ 1700 which is what I expected. I don’t need the money but with gold at these levels I am tempted to sell it as I do not collect modern coins. I am a little attached to the coin because it is a beautiful design.
I think I can get $ 1800 for it.
What should I do:
1) Keep it because I am Jewish and most Jewish people don’t need extra money as they already have enough and control most of the worlds money already anyway 2) Sell it because being Jewish I just love easy money 3) Wait to see if I can squeeze some more money out of someone on EBAY as gold may continue to rise 4) Sell it take the money and get one of those litter American eagles if I like the damm design so much
Just started looking at colonial currency from MD and MASS and see that most from MASS have been "cancelled" with a hole in the paper....does anyone know why, and why not for MD notes?
I realize these quarters are no longer in the spotlight, but I am wondering if anyone else has found any other errors with these besides the leaf errors, extra trees & cactus? What about any die cracks or doubling?Any other?
What do you people think would be the best ,honest, way to sell common date wheat pennies? I've got a few thousand taking up precious space in my safe. I would never use the word "unsearched" to sell these. I've got solid date rolls but I see they don't sell for much more than double face value. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!
IT SEEMS THE MINT MISSED WHAT US COLLECTORS REALLY WANTED, JUST 1 TRUE DOUBLE DIE IN COPPER. I WAS DREAMING OF THAT COIN FOR THE LAST YEAR, WELL WE HAVE 2 1/2 MONTHS TO HOPE FOR SOMETHING LIKE THAT.
HERE THEY ARE $349.99 EACH AND WORTH EVERY (LINCOLN) CENT, MAYBE MORE. IT ALL DEPENDS ON HOW MANY UNCIRCULATED SETS WILL BE PRODUCED, SPECULATORS SAY 750,000 TO 1.2 MILLION SETS. WITH ALL THE PROBLEMS THE MINT HAS HAD WITH THESE PENNIES AS WELL AS OTHER ISSUES I WOULD SAY 1 MILLION SETS WOULD BE TOPS. ANY COMMENTS ?
TRYING TO START A NEW DISCUSSION HERE. THESE COPPER CENTS ARE BEUTIFUL PLAIN AND SIMPLE, I'VE BEEN BUYING SETS FOR ABOUT $8 TO $ 10 PER SET. THAT IS A BARGAIN IF YOU CONSIDER THE MINTAGE MAY BE 1 TO 1.5 MILLION. ONE DOLLAR A COIN COULD TRANSLATE TO $5 PER COIN IN THE FUTURE, WHAT DO YOU THINK ?
Oct 26 issue blasts U.S.Mint about the ASE, AGE, and Buffalo programs. About 6-7 pages worth.....and it has nothing to do with this weeks screw up with the LN6s. That will be covered in the next issue.
If you are a serious ASE collector its a sure read....its some really pissed off people out there !!
They want Moys head on a platter.......I think yall know how I feel about Moy.....
Guys, I will be in San Francisco Down time / San Jose area and Folsom area end of next month, can you guys point me to some good coins shop that I can look around and maybe to buy some US trade dollar :)
