Everyone knows a road bike has 27" wheels and a mountain bike has 26" wheels. So why are all mountain bikes listed at 26"???? I'm 6"4" and the tallest frame I know of is 25" and that is HUGE.
I run a 1993 Sachs New Success 8 speed group on a Sakae 48 frame that is Campy compatible. I am looking to change out my 53-39 170 crankset to a triple, and would like to buy used in great condition without having to rebuild the entire bike - and spend a fortune. Would love your help in determining what items I should look at. Thanks Lisa
Hi, I am starting cycling next month. Will need a good starting bike for city/urban riding/exercising. Will the Scott Speedster P4 does the job? Any other brand/model to recommend? I want to know something before I enter a bike shop. Tks for any inputs.

Just bought my first road bike, and i need help on the spokes, if you strung the spokes should the tune sound all the same. Also if the wheel has a slight wobble to it would it relate to a spoke or spokes out of tune. Please help!!
Hello all, This is my first post. My wife got me into cycling last year. I am currently looking for a commuter bike for work. It is a 15 mile ride on country roads. I work in a factory as an electrcian and work a rotating 12 hourshift. Currently I ride a Raleigh M-20. It is a good bike but is small for me. The local dealer sells fuji bikes. I am intrested in an Absolute flat bar road bike or a Newest model. For work I need to be able to carry lunch, clothing and shower supplies, and bike equipment. Right now I use a rack on the back of the bike and a backpack. My questions are: Are these road bikes built heavy enough for my purposes? I am 49 years old, I am concerned about riding bent over with a backpack as I would need to on the Newest, should this be a concern? Currently I have no back problems. I have heard that the small narrow tires are more prone to flat tires. Is the a concern? Thanks tor the help. Also I am not married to Fuji bikes, but I do like and want to support my local dealer. Thanks.
Title says it all: Which professional race do you think is the best? I love Paris-Roubaix, but the World Championships keep me in front of the TV all day.
hi all, I've been toying around with my old trek frame recently. i bought track wheels, a new crank wheel and arms, a new chain and set up my bike to be a fixie. things were all going well until i discovered my seat is fugging impossible to move. the frame is like 20 years old and god knows how long the post and been stuck in there. I've only owned this bike for about 4 years. i tried stuff like liquid wrench and wd40 at first. that did nothing. so then i tried ammonia, because i heard that might help with the corrosion of the aluminum. still nothing. i know that my frame is made of aluminum. i think the post is steel, but I'm not sure. Anyway, if anyone has any ideas help me out, i would love to hear them. i don't know what to do.
Lookin for some new pedals and thought i'd ask for some input. My husband has some cank bros. eggbeaters he bought, because of the easy in/out. Now he's ready for something else and wants to pass his eggbeaters on to me. Any input would be helpful!
