	Hello, newbie & have qestions? I need to ask any one("?"), can a 1968 Fire bird convertible V6 be swamped out to a V8(400-455) , I need to know if there is any issues or any thing to do to the frame before dropping in a power plant? The transplant would be parts from another Fire bird or the same breed (not a Mopar,Ford,Chevrolet,GMC -even though that would be one wicked ride !) . 	1984 camero with overdrive i have a 84 camero with 103 thousand miles on it.when it is in overdrive no matter what the speed you are going whether it be 55 or 75 it drops down into drive then back to overdrive.it will do this10 or more times in a mile.it doesnot slip in any gear it just drops back and forth from drive to overdrive.it has the small v6 in it.i have had this car for several years and have done most of the maintenance on it myself but cant find the problem.any suggestions would help thanks for your input.Doug by cooneyhnt1 ) Sep 2, 2009 08:58 AM \| No Products Discussed	1
	aluminum or cast iron cylinder heads here this is the issue i am having i am building a car for dependability but at the same time be able to drag race it all day and not break like alot of people at the drag strip that i have seen. what i want to know is which one is more dependable aluminum or cast iron cylinder heads. i have heard the aluminum flows better and it is easier to weld and so on but i have a pair of cast iron gt40 heads and and a pair of aluminum gt40 heads what i want to know is which one is more likely to break thank you for your time. makrf-250 by markf-250 ) Sep 2, 2009 08:40 AM \| No Products Discussed	2

	best engine block what i am needing to know what is the best engine block for strength that is a ford 351 windsor such as dart engine blocks or ford racing engine blocks i have heard alot of good things about the dart engine blocks but is better then ford racing engine blocks i would think the ford racing blocks would be better because they are more expensive and its the ford motor company they know what weakness teh engine has and they know what would be teh dependable route to go but any information would help i amt rying to make a drag car but i would like to have a engine block that could take about 650 horsepower without guide plates or girdles if possible. thanks for your time markf-250 by markf-250 ) Aug 12, 2009 10:20 AM \| No Products Discussed	2
	Durabuilt 140 Hi, Does anyone know where I might get a useable/functional Durabuilt 140? This is the improved 140 with hydraulic lifters etc. that came in the 1976 Chevy Vega. I also am wondering if the "Iron Duke" 4 cylinder that came out in the 1977 Pontiac Astre could be used in a 1976 Vega without having to change much if anything.
