I'm just reaching out to see if anyone knows where I can get a pair of quarter panels for my 79 TA. I wasn't looking for an after market pair but a pair of GM ones. I haven't seen any of these available other than the someone cutting them off a parted car.
If anyone knows where I can get a pair of these it woudl be greatly appreciated!
Has anyone seen the new T/A coming out for 2010. It's a modified 2010 Camaro 6.2 liter with a shaker hood. Many colors will be available. It is not factory though. The guy who concepted this idea in 2006 paired up with a backer to build around 80 Pheonix T/A's a year. Kinda like the Yenko Camaro's. They can't call it Pontiac because GM hasn't given permission for the name use, yet. Pontiac High Performance magazine highlights this whole story so check it out.
I've got a 96 WS-6 and have been beating my head on the wall with an overheating problem. Started when I took a ride down a Wildlife Preserve unpaved road. Have taken it in to several; encluding the dealer; and no one seems to be able to figure it out. Although more than glad to charge me a grand each time. I recently noticed that the idiot light "Low Coolant" now stays on constantly. Checked Coolant and it's at the proper level and have added the Super Cool to bring down the temp some. I've hooked up my reader and it has identified a problem with the Catalytic Converters. However, this seems to come and go. If I drive like a human, it signals a problem with them. Whereas, if I drive her hard, it seems to blow out the carbon deposits and I'm good until I back off the pedal for a period of time. I'm not hearing any bearing noise in the Water Pump, but I'm debatting dropping in a 160 Themostat. Nonetheless, I'm still concerned as to what's causing the overheating and why the "Low Coolant" light has come on. Any thoughts?
I really want more power and speed. My car looks amazing because i have done so many things to the outside like replace things and add things but i just want it to run like a V8 beacuase i have already made it sound good by addind some dual-exhaust 80-series flowmasters on it but it just doesnt run the way i want. can i put a v8 in it or get one built to put in it? or do i need to just go ahead and but a crappy v8 formula or t/a and fix it up?
I am leaving for Iraq and I am trying to sell my car why I am over there, just for the fact that when I come back I want to get a new CHALLENGER, by the time I get back I will be able to afford one.
Hello,Fire Bird Lovers ! I don't know a hole lot on Fire Bird frames, can a convertible frame handle & convert from a Strait 6 to a V8 400 to 455 -This is to also swamp tranny, and rear end gears & all other parts for a V8?." Please NOTE, I look for rollers-junkers when I clone or mod ! ". I want any 68 Fire Bird convertible to add to my collection." I prefer a 68' 400 HO -4 on the Floor ". But if I find one that ran & was the right price I would keep it stock and fix it up,but I am looking for a good deal,"Memory's R worth more than money !"
When I say I hate Corvettes, I can't stress that enough. Corvettes have become a common car. If you go to a car show and there is a total of 100 cars there, 80 will be Corvettes, 15 will be Mustangs, and 5 will be "racing" Hondas. People who drive Corvettes have no style, no imagination, and most of all, no urge or reason to use 8 cylinders. The only thing a Corvette is good for is saying, "I have a lot of money and no imagination, plus I'm getting old, so I spent way too much on a common car." Anyways, I love Pontiacs - both W- and F-bodies - and have been a supporter and follower of Pontiac for as long as I can remember. Right now, I have a 2000 Trans Am Firehawk that I actually picked up on eBay, as well as a 2007 G6 GTP that just replaced my 1994 Grand Prix SE. I am in the market for a 1989-1990 (obviously) Turbo Grand Prix. If anyone has any information, please send me an e-mail. Thanks - and sorry for ripping on Corvettes if you own one... actually, I'm not sorry. If you own a Corvette, you should be in a mental home and off of this neighborhood.
i need a lot of parts such as console for automatic basicly the whole in side so any help would be thankful and do any of you trans am owners know how many was made i know about camaros but new on the pontiac line

I have the opportunity to buy a 1969 Firbird Convertible that's been sitting in a garage for over 20 years. The car has a straight body and good paint, no rust. Clean interior and a decent power top. It has a 3 speed automatic. The only downside is that the original 350 was swapped out with one from a 1974 Lemans. Whats a fair price for this car? We were talking in the neighborhood of $10K before I discovered the engine had been swapped.
i have a 95 5.7 firebird mt6 and my car drives for about 2 miles and it starts losing power and slowly dies.i start it back up and runs fine adn revs great but as soon as i start driving it comes to a stop and shuts off. then i have to wait an hr or two to drive agian and it does it again.
last time i had my car worked on i got it back.I started the car & the ses light come on & both my fans turn on & run on high it stays that way untill car heats up to 210 to 235 then the light goes out & fans shut off for awhile then they all come back on again.the mechanic that did the work cannot figure out the problem. In fact it seems everyone ive talked to about this issue does not know what the problem is other than the fans & ses light the car runs fine.
