I ran into a US Census for a client of mine. The entry stated "Were you Ill on the day of the Census" and the answer written on the sheet was "YES--Shot in Foot"!!! I wish I knew the whole story on this--would make for a great family tale---maybe the wife shot him!
Hello, What I find very useful is to have ebay do automatic searches for me. I request specific surnames, specific towns/cities/states, time frames, specific year / city directories, yearbooks. I have it set up that I receive daily emails if ebay has found anything related to my request. If I don't want it I delete it. However, every so often I get an absolute family gem. I probably have about 20 searches going at one time. Hope this helps, Cheryl3751

Hello, I am a member of a Non-Profit organization in Texas call Parker County Texas History and Heritage Inc. We get a lot of books donated to us. That which we do not need or already have I am to try to sell on e-Bay. But how do I go about selling Genealogical books on e-Bay. It seems to me that there would not be alot of interest in say, "The History of the Pendleton District"? I don't want to waste the org. money by putting ten books on e-Bay and not selling and maybe selling one. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you,

Hey Guys and Gals. If you have ancestors from West Virginia, I know a website that might help you. Its www.wvculture.org/. It has free birth, death, and marriage records. Only problem is they're only for certain counties and/or years. Check it out anyway because you might get lucky and any images you find can be saved to your computer for free.
