I'm thinking of selling this guitar. I've seen varying values for it. Would there be any interest in it if I decided to list it here on ebay? It is from either the late 70's or early 80's.
Hallejulah! Whoever gets this one will surely be blessed with amazing sonoric powers indeed.LOL! Check out my profile for more details to see what I'm talking about.
I stumbled across this potential forum, and so, have put my name in. I have been playing pro for 40 years now, and can share my direct and practical insights with any of you. Sincerely, Stephen
Does an one know how to convert a stock RG model Ibanez Body to an Ibanez MTM1? Pickups for sure, but how do you wire them to a switch and just 1 volume knob eliminating the tone knob? Do EMG 60's n EMG 81's come pre-wired for a 1 volume n no tone set-up? Also, how would you replace the standard bridge of a stock RG with a Fixed Edge bridge that is a larger sized bridge, without comprimising the intonation and sound? I know it would require a 5pc Wizard II thru-neck as well, and that it will be a hard project. So I guess the last question is this...Would the sound quality of my planned knock-off, be the same as a real MTM1 if done properly? Though I wish I could and Absolutely would spend the cash to have an instrument modeled after "THE MONSTER METAL GOD's" own preferences, I can not afford a $1300.00+ guitar!!!!!! (C'mon man I'm not a rich "rockstar" I just want an instrument that'll sound like I am!) Well I know that this is a long post and those of you that took the time to read it please please if you can help with any insight or info I'd appreciate it. THANKS!!!
I am trying to find the value on a 12 string Peavey electric. I know they don't make them anymore. I think it was brought in the 80s for about $450, but I wasn't sure if it went up in value because of it's rarity or went down. Any advice on where to find the value?
Ok so I was looking around for a couple of guitar today and I came across a few guitar that were not labeled correct. If you are selling a guitar and you say that it is from the US please make sure that it is. A few people on here have been putting up Mexican Tele and Strats saying that the are US models. Also for you people that want a Gibson but know nothing about them ..........Please don't buy a Goldtop Les Paul With A Bolt-On Neck!!! Sorry just trying to help out some people!
I just figured I would get on here and say hey. I have been working with guitars for the last 15 years. I have come across a variety of different instruments along the way with some being very rare or very unique. I try and put up the best deals that I can for everyone to be happy with since I have dealt with a few bad sellers in my past. Well hope to hear what people have hiding around....
I'm a HUGE Beatle fan, especially John, and have been for over 40 years. I collect late model reissues of the Beatle related guitars most often associated with The Fab Four. I did collect vintage guitars for a while, but truthfully, they just got WAY too expensive and while you may laugh, I like my guitars looking NEW, and I got tired of paying top dollar for hammered examples that didn't even play all that well anyway! Sure, you can go to some high end boutique stores that have mint condition examples of the boy's most recognizable models, but have you priced THOSE lately??? CRAZY! So, I buy Gretsch and Rickenbacker and the like in the reissue models, at a tiny fraction of the real deal vintage models, and I really enjoy them a lot more knowing the kids didn't go hungry so I could have them! (Those little urchins actually want to eat EVERY day!!) How do you guys feel about that position? Do you buy the vintage and scorn the new guitars like the usual vintage snobs, as we call them, or do you comfort yourself like I do getting the same vibe out of a Rickenbacker 325C58 as you would a 1958 Mapleglo Rick? And John's Casino! How about that Lennon "1965" model and the Revolution? Cool or not? By the way, If interested, maybe the Beatle Fans among us would like to share a list of their Beatle guitar collection! Mine is about 16 guitars long, including the #2 of 3 prototypes of the Lennon J-160E. (Yoko has #1, and a dealer scored #3) I have duplicates of some of my Beatle guitars, (four Lennon Casinos, four Lennon J-160-E's, three Vox Super Beatle rigs, etc.), and I am ALWAYS up for trading to get a guitar I don't have yet, like the Rick 360/12/C63 in Fireglo like George's, for example. And the Lennon J-160E in the psychedelic paint job...been looking for one of THOSE for years! Come on guys.....I know you're out there! What kind of Beatle guitars and related gear do you have in YOUR collection? You show me yours, and I'll show you mine! Regards from Richard at dreamdeal!, where RIGHT NOW we have some WAY cool guitars up on the auction block!
Does anyone have experience buying acoustic guitar pickup kits from the ALLPARTSPIPE store on eBay?
The items listed here have unbelievable low prices ($25) vs. list ($200-300).
It's almost one of those "if its too good to be true" situations.
I did some research via Google on ALLPARTSPIPE and some people claim that electronic parts (resistors, transistors, etc.) seemed to be conterfeit, but worked fine.
This new concept from eBay's bean counters, the "neighborhoods", is designed to get buyers and sellers alike to visit eBay more often, and stick around longer when they do. Focus groups have complained that eBay is no loner the friendly little community it once was when it first started, and in many ways, that's true. EBay has grown from a small rural town to a sprawling urban metropolis and in many ways that's a GOOD thing, in that there are millions of offerings, and a world-wide shopping experience now, but like many others, I too miss the warm and fuzzy feeling of actually getting know my buyers and sellers like I once did, and still try to do whenever possible, as it really facilitates making every deal a "dreamdeal!". (Sorry, couldn't resist!) Now as to THIS specific neighborhood. "GUITARS", I think there and thousands of us who have a LOT to offer here, and we should ALL get involved! There are so many vintage guitar experts, professional musicians, and varied collectors of stringed instruments that we could make this neighborhood one of the INSTANT successes of this great new concept! What do you say Boys and Girls? Let's get involved and start sharing our unique love of these wonderful guitars that are in many cases our FIRST and GREATEST "love", outside our families of course! Let's get this going and make it work! Warm Regards, Richard at dreamdeal!
