I have just opened a new store.MapleTopMusic Supply on Ebay.I have been dealing guitars for a while, new to Ebay.Take a look at my store and leave suggestions please
I have a Martin Graphite X I'm thinking of getting rid of. It's in great shape, not a scratch or mark on it and very light fret wear. I know it is extremely rare, only 63 were made (I wrote Martin and they told me 60 righties and 3 lefties were produced before it was discontinued). Thing is, I'm not sure what the value is. The book says something like $900 give or take, but I'm thinking something so rare has a higher value... any thoughts?
OK here is my problem...I am a BIG guy....with BIG hands....and these thin little necks I keep playing take the fun out of playing....I learned to play on a cheap no name plywood guitar that sounded like I was playing a card board box....but the neck was perfect.....any suggestion on a good acoustic box with a thicker neck?
Just to let y'all know, if you are interested I've put up my 100 Watt Peavey Valveking up for sale here on Ebay. These are nice entry/mid level all tube amps that have great sounds but remain affordable. I've had mine for a little over a year, never gigged with it (it's way too big and powerful), tried recording with it but without an antennuator, it's hopeless to get good power tube saturation at "friendly to neighbors" volumes. Come and take a look, perhaps it's the right fit for you.
This might be a stupid question, but I have to ask it. WHAT IS UP WITH GUITAR AMPS? other than practice what are they good for? When most people get together to play, it makes more sense to have a PA system. Most of these kids that are starting out are saying, I want a Marshall or I want a Fender amp, a big one. Why not just get a PA system and be done with it? I just don't understand the point of mid-sized or stack amplifiers, to me they are too costly. What Do You Think?
I bought 2 Esteban GE Officially Licensed, Numbered Cadillac Eldorado, Guitars (one black, the other red) specifically for resale. Accustic/electric, with amp, picks, 10 DVD's of lessons, hard case, and other matching assessories. I have all the origional packing, and each guitar (and assessories) have only been handled once, with gloves, to verify good condition and that all assessories were included. I'd like feedback on do's and don'ts of selling on e-bay. Any hints, tips, and advice is deeply appreciated. I also have loose gemstones I'll be selling.
