I looked at auctions for ornie sets but they are expensive- mostly Bethany Lowe and I am not into the primitive look. It is really hard to find miniature Halloween ornaments . Any ideas you all might have would be helpful.

I picked up an awesome Halloween tree today. 19.99, 4ft tall , with a skull base and lighted eyes! It is black with pre-lighted orange lights. I am off to look for some Halloween ornanments......................
Halloween is a short time away and I find myself a little let down by my surroundings. When I was growing up I lived in an old river town in Illinois called Alton. Every year in September the nights would grow colder and the trees would start changing color and you would get that "feeling" in the air. You could almost lost in the season. Autumn has always been my favorite for that very reason. You could just feel the magic around you. Oh, and I was born on September 21, so I get to celebrate the two events at once most of the time!!! Here is the problem I am now facing. I seem to find myself living in the Mohave Desert, and in September the nights are still 90 degrees, there are no trees that turn colors, and the only feeling in the air is heat. Is there any way to feel in touch with the changing season when the weather stays the same, the palm trees don't change color, and it just doesn't feel the same? Any suggestions? (Other than moving)
I sponsor a haunted house once a year at the high school I work at, and we are desperately in need for cheap but cool stuff. Since the kids are trying to raise funds for their prom, we try to keep it cheap, but we want to make it good. I have about 60 kids work on the haunted house every year, and it's a good time, but we are repeating ourselves. We are on our 7th house, and the community expects it now...and they expect it to be good! Oh, the pressure!
If anyone has suggestions for us in terms of scares OR would like to give us a deal on products, I'd love to hear about it.
