Hello, I recently bought a Epson Powerlite 76c projector. I want to buy a dvd player with 1080i upconversion. If the dvd player has a hdmi output??? Can I get a cord converter to plug it into my projector? I really have no clue about any of this, so any help or suggestion would be great. Thanks
I want a home theater setup and need suggestions on how to use my current equipment. I have an A/V amp, a 5.1 surround sound speaker system and will have a flat screen HDTV soon. I want to use my existing sound system but don't have any HDMI jacks on my circa 2001 amp. I want an HDTV monitor without the tuner because I intend to use a satelite box and component DVD player for input. If I get a new all-in-one home theater player/amp/speaker system, I'll have to ditch my current amp and fantastic Bose Accoustamas speaker system. Don't like that idea.

Folks: I need some advice regarding the type of speaker system to go along with my PS3. I do not want to go thru the hassle of wiring the rear speakers and do not want to pay for a dvd player (if possible). I have gone to sonystle.com and googled it but did not find much useful information.
Any suggestions would be highly welcome. I do not intend to spend more than $700 for the system.
My DVD unit on my panasonic sc-ht700 died. Does anyone have the parts to get my 700 going again? Or, will another DVD unit work on this surround-sound system?
Does anyone know if there are benefits to running HDMI over component and fiber cables? To take advantage of upconversion on my dvd player does it require HDMI or can upconversion take place through component cables? Lastly, is fiber preferable to coaxial for audio?
Hi, Im just starting on a home theater. So far Ive got paint and my eye on some carpet lol. ohhh and a Popcorn machine along with some concession type signs. I have literally searched for hours to find two site's where you can watch NEW movies as well as many others when I say new I MEAN NEW IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN also you can watch your favorite tv show's as well. This listing is for my time in providing you with an email that will contain the links to the sites and some info about them. You can watch them or you can download them as well no signing up for any type of account or exchange of your info of any kind. These are not torrent files they are streaming feeds you dont have to wait hours or even days to watch them like most download movie sites or using a file sharing site this works great! Me and my kids watch movies everynight. I found that FIREFOX browser works best for these site's. For those who dont know what FIREFOX is here is alink for a free copy. Trust me I spend alot of time online and this is the best $1.99 you WILL eVer spenD ! I will be glad to help you even after the sell. IF YOU DONT THINK IT WAS WORTH A $1.99 COMPARED TO THE MOVIE TICKET PRICES OR THE FEE'S FOR RENTING ONLY ONE MOVIE or my time finding these sites trying to help people find what I spent hours to finally find I'LL GIVE IT BACK...

I am in the market for a home theater system to go along with my 50" plasma TV. I have brothers and sisters with home theater systems that are so overengineered and complex that they usually have to mess with 3 different remotes for an average of 5 minutes before they can get their systems to work properly. I am fairly savvy with electronic components, but I have a 6 year old, a 5 year old, and an un-savvy wife. I promised her that I would purchase a system which would use only 1 remote FOR EVERYTHING. The kicker for this is that I only have $350 to spend on my home theater, and I don't want to spend $150 on a truly universal remote. The universal remote I got with my DVR cable box right now runs my TV, Stereo (which is hooked up to the TV), DVD/VCR and my cable box. Ideally I would like to use the same remote to run the surround receiver. The only things I want to do with my surround system is to turn it on and adjust the volume. Isn't it possible to set up a system that is controlled by the T.V.? In other words, hook up all my HDMI connections directly to the T.V. (DVR cable box, and ultimately Blu-Ray DVD) and run 1 optical digital out of the TV to the surround receiver? Does audio quality get sacrificed with this configuration?
Whhat do you think of the HT750 Marsh as opposed to some of the other ones out there in tthe high end category such as Monster, which tends to be cheaper? Is it worth the extra money to get a Marsh? Although Marshs are built with Monster and have a clean, warm sound to my ear I'm trying to psych myself up to spending the money or an HT750. Feedback?
Just wanted to know if anyone here has experience with the Bose GXS 3-2-1- Home Theater Sound System. I have had mine for a little over a year and I love it. Appreciate any feedback
