Hi Everyone! You may want to take a peek at my posting of Billie De Fink, one of Goebels Berz Collection. He is not often found and is quite a steal. Thank you!
Wed 4-30-08 1:18am Hi, i'm ernie, & have been collecting HUMMELS for 24 years now & thanks to ebay have been able to add many new HUMMELS to my collection. I would like to hear from anyone who wants to talk about HUMMELS & share about their passion for the hobby. Thanks so much hope to hear from you!!
My grandmother had a figurine called "Two Chicks." She has passed away and I remember it fondly from childhood and hoped to find out a little more on it. I move recently and the figurine was broken in the move and I’m having a hard time with loosing it. I also tried to super glue it back but it was in too many pieces unfortunately. Does anyone know about this figurine? It the "chick" girl feeding 2 chicks. Does anyone have this one for sale?
During 1953-55, I purchased 12 Hummel Figs, Full Bee, in Germany. They have just accumulated dust and more dust. The finish is now matte. How do I clean them? Is plain soap and water safe?

Does anybody know the particulars of this? Here is the news release I got from the Goebel website.
"Goebel of North America (GNA) is committed in its support of Goebel Germany as they embark on the recently announced production restructuring. Despite current global economic pressures, GNA's business has remained stable and we are confident in the outlook for the second half of 2008. GNA will collaborate with Goebel Germany to implement a strategic plan that will best serve the North American market and all its stakeholders. We remain confident that the M.I. Hummel brand will emerge from this restructuring significantly stronger" said Goebel of North America President Philip Ferrigno.
It is the last statement that is confusing to me. Are they thinking that by stopping production, prices will go up? Or are they just taking a break from production and expect it to be that much better afterwards? Any ideas anyone?

We found six little pure white Hummel angels, about 3 inches tall. All have insturments and are marked with the V and the big bee inside, and germany. We cannot find them on any Hummel site. I am trying to find out the worth. It does appear from the marking that they are from around 1950.
I recently bought a Modonna statue, she is unpainted and on the bottom she has a blue stamp that says Goebel and W Germany big V with a small Bee in the center. She has a halo and is about 11" tall she has no finish almost like she was to be painted and wasnt. I cant find a value on her and would like to list her on ebay but dont want to misrepresent her, I had her listed and then removed her...HELP Corkyjean62
