Recently i have faced with the problem on Ebay: i have put the Omega watch, received as a gift from my previous place of work, and later on it was found as replica watch. This made me to start the project on creation the resource on the net, with help of users from all watch-related forums and professional watchmakers globally, give the answers on the doubts of watch-buy planners and identify the discrepancies between replicas and originals.
Currently the resource is under construction, but i hope that in the nearest future we will launch this project. I rely on the help of users from EBay Community. As an example, i have seen the fake U.Nardin watches here.
There are plans to invite the professionals from watch making companies to answer the users questions. The negotiations are on going. so keep checking the site.

I just want to some things to those sellers that get swiss made watches and try to sell them for peanuts.... 1. YOU ARE RUINING THESE SALES!!! 2. YOU DONT SELL THEM BECAUSE NO ONE BELIEVES YOU CAN GET A SWISS MADE WATCH FOR Under 600.00 3.ANYONE THAT IS JUST OUT TO BUY A WATCH THINKS YOUR PRICE IS TOO HIGH!!
What a dilema You have created for yourselves.. And unfortunately ME!! I KNOW these watches such as FUEL and some Movments placed in S.U.G. watches( but certainly only a few) are truly swiss made. and people are selling them for the same if not UNDER what the japan S.U.G.s are selling for!! How NUTTY!!! ITS SWISS WHEN IT SAYS IT IS!!! This is a perfect example of why the wholesalers should NEVER sell to just anyone!!! THOSE ANYONES SURE KNOW HOW TO MAKE A GENUINE PRODUCT LOOK LIKE A FAKE!! Unlearned and think because they got it cheap they can just beat everyones price and sell them like mad!! NOT!!!! But because there are so many scalpers on ebay THEY WONT SELL!!!. Its clearly because the ones that KNOW swiss KNOW its costly.. and they dont believe you. and the ones that just want a watch wont pay that much.. Therefore WE ALL LOSE!!!.. IF its genuine .... SELL IT LIKE IT IS!!! You arent selling it anyway with buy it nows at 160.00 how ridiulous.. when have you ever saw a real swiss rolex or any other REAL swiss sell for under 1,000.00 for real? not many. and when it happens.. THey are 9 times out of 10 regarded as fake!!
SOMETIMES A LOW PRICE DOESNT GUARANTEE A SALE!!!!!!!!!!!!
Do watches and nice jewelry generally sell well on ebay. I have an online store @ www.expresshopusa.com and I am trying to sell items on here as well. Although I must admit the prices are pretty low at my site.
I have a womens Baume et Mercier Catwalk watch with diamond chips at each number. Should I sell it on eBay? I don't know if anyone buys this brand of watch or even looks at them. I would really like to sell it because I have moved on to bigger better watches and I would really like to recoop some money from this one. I want to make money but I don't want to list too high, but I also don't want to list low and only 1 person bid. What should I do? It was purchased in 2003 as a gift for me and I've only worn it maybe 20 times. Its is a 2003 Catwalk Stainless Steel Watch and was purchased for $1600. I would like to get maybe $300-$500 or so.
Just wanted to share this with you guys. Now you can get, up to 36% of the seller's fees whenever you buy something on eBay, and if you have an ebay store or items for sale you can list it for FREE. Your listing will be seen by an active community of eBayers who have made millions of dollars in eBay purchases through this website in the past year alone.
