I am making an afghan in ModaDea washable wool and seem to need a few more skeins of ivory #4413,(lot 137 if possible). It seems to be discontinued from mfg. and I can't locate any more. Thanks.
I have knitted since the early 60's and have made everything from childrens items to afghans and doll clothes. But in the process of moving several times I have lost the one pattern which I would like to have the most. It is for puppet mittens which I made for my children. If anyone knows of where I could find (and purchase) this I would be so grateful.
Hi, I'm new to the knitting neighborhood. I am an avid crocheter and recently have taught myself to knit (I'm a lefty and couldnt find a teacher...soooo...I got a book and taught myself). I would love to have a pattern for handwarmers that's easy and yet looks really cool. Can anyone help?
I have knitted since I was 10 years old. That's more than 40 years. I can knit right, left, upside down, mosaic, cables, anything--except double pointed knitting. I have tried numerous times, but I just cant seem to get it from my head to my hands right. I would love to learn this before my times up. The simpler the better and step by step if possible. I've searched websites and craftsites, and the ones that give instructions I can hardly understand or tell what to do from the paper to real time. I hope Im not the only having this much problem with it. Usually if its a complicated project I can pick it up right away--but not with this. I would so much love to make a small project to start with, socks maybe in the future. Is there anyone that could help me? This is only one of a few things I never got learned that I would love to accomplish.
I think this must be heaven!! I can sit in my house and browse through thousands of yarn auctions! The best part is I won 2 auctions already and I feel like I have just snorted some really good wool dust!!! Okay, I never used drugs but I imagine this is what it feels like when you get high! I can't wait to start putting up some of my baby sets for sale. I have some vintage knitting books from a late aunt and the old stuff is beautiful. This new adventure is just what I needed to help me fight this nasty thyroid cancer that decided to invade my life. Knitting is a great escape and it takes my mind off of my troubles. Hoping to make some new friends.
I'm just getting started knitting and, as other "addictions", I'm starting to collect yarn. Can someone tell me a rule of thumb on how many skeins, hanks etc. is a good number to buy to make sure I have enough for a future project? I'm really only interested in shawls, throws....easy, no brainers, for right now. I'm having chemo and the brain has no cognitive powers to follow much of a pattern, so I'm sticking to quick and easy. thanks, Catherine
I have tried, I loose stitches, I loose count, I loose my patience. I like circular needles. I taught myself to knit, I was told I hold my yarn backwards, but I'm consistent. What is the easiest way to learn, I don't have anyone I can go to for mentering. I have knitted a blanket, it took several years, but I finished it. I would like to start knitting for my grandsons, what is a good project to begin with? Thanks, Carol
Hi,Knitters of the World... I have been searching everywhere for a Crochet book from Annie's Attic..It is out of print..I have a flyer which calls it FLOWER BABY FAIRIES..has 7 little Fairie Flower Babies to crochet for sizes 8" to 14" dolls..Each outfit looks like a flower costume with little wings..These are for the chubby little baby dolls, not the fashion type..I will pay gladly for any copy as long as the directions are readable..I can email a black and white photo if necessary..God bless you all..Desperate Joyce..
I am also known on here as texascoda, but I decided it would be better for me to use a strictly business account for my business on ebay. I write custom knitting patterns to put name/pics/or just about anything you want on a blanket of any size you decide you want. Please, I need some advice. When making a pattern for a blanket it can take quite some time to design, count, write, and check it. I'm not sure what kinds of prices I should put on these patterns. Please let me know what you think!
First, I should say Hello to everyone here! I'm so glad I found this neighborhood! I just started my business with my girls. We write custom knitting patterns in which we put names and pictures in blankets. I would like to request that you check out the 3 I have online and let me know what you think please. We have tried to price them fairly depending on how long it takes to write each pattern. We are also interested in writing special order patters for our customers. We would love to make your special blanket special! Thanks for your advice!
