I have a Challenge Cut. Co. Bridgeport Conn. US Pat March 5, 1918 Fly-Lock Pocket Knife. I believe it is rare and belongs in a collection. My question is how do I legally sell it.
Any assistance in finding any 10" original Hibben UC456 Stainless Steel throwers, that were based on Hibben's Kenpo Karate design, would be very appreciated. See "2 Gil Hibben fixed blade knives knife w/cases 10 inches" auction site below, which listed the most recent of these models available on eBay.
Thanks to the efforts of Knife Rights Organization, its sister organizations and their supporters, the President has signed into law the FY2010 Homeland Security Appropriations Bill that includes a new exception to the Federal Switchblade Act protecting our assisted and one-hand opening pocket knives.
The fight started after U.S. Customs tried to legislate for the whole nation by changing its own definition of "switchblade" in an importation regulation.
The Amendment as passed: H. R. 2892, page 42
SEC. 562. Section 4 of the Act entitled ''An Act to prohibit the introduction, or manufacture for introduction, into interstate commerce of switchblade knives, and for other purposes'' (commonly known as the Federal Switchblade Act) (15 U.S.C. 1244) is amended--
(1) by striking ''or'' at the end of paragraph (3);
(2) by striking the period at the end of paragraph (4) and inserting ''; or'' and
(3) by adding at the end the following: ''a knife that contains a spring, detent, or other mechanism designed to create a bias toward closure of the blade and that requires exertion applied to the blade by hand, wrist, or arm overcome the bias toward closure to assist in openingthe knife.''
An explanation of how this new exception will protect assisted and one-hand opening knives can be found here: http://bit.ly/Mwd5E

I am trying to find out who made a knife my father purchased more than 25 years ago. It is a fixed blade knife with a highly polished blade. It has BUZZ inscribed on the blade on one side up near the guard. Below the word BUZZ is a what looks to be an S lying on its side. The handles are yellow. Not sure material of the handles. Would appreciate any info or history anyone may have.
