Thanks to the efforts of Knife Rights Organization, its sister organizations and their supporters, the President has signed into law the FY2010 Homeland Security Appropriations Bill that includes a new exception to the Federal Switchblade Act protecting our assisted and one-hand opening pocket knives.
The fight started after U.S. Customs tried to legislate for the whole nation by changing its own definition of "switchblade" in an importation regulation.
The Amendment as passed: H. R. 2892, page 42
SEC. 562. Section 4 of the Act entitled ''An Act to prohibit the introduction, or manufacture for introduction, into interstate commerce of switchblade knives, and for other purposes'' (commonly known as the Federal Switchblade Act) (15 U.S.C. 1244) is amended--
(1) by striking ''or'' at the end of paragraph (3);
(2) by striking the period at the end of paragraph (4) and inserting ''; or'' and
(3) by adding at the end the following: ''a knife that contains a spring, detent, or other mechanism designed to create a bias toward closure of the blade and that requires exertion applied to the blade by hand, wrist, or arm overcome the bias toward closure to assist in openingthe knife.''
An explanation of how this new exception will protect assisted and one-hand opening knives can be found here: http://bit.ly/Mwd5E

I am trying to find out who made a knife my father purchased more than 25 years ago. It is a fixed blade knife with a highly polished blade. It has BUZZ inscribed on the blade on one side up near the guard. Below the word BUZZ is a what looks to be an S lying on its side. The handles are yellow. Not sure material of the handles. Would appreciate any info or history anyone may have.
I put a bunch of blades on sale from now to the end of the month. you might want to check them out.I even put airsoft at a real good price. So check out my store and let me know what you think. Thanks for your time.
hey, I'm looking for a SOG Seal Pup Elite. I will be buying one soon. I'm selling things to buy one. If any one has one for trade look at my items listed. I also hace things that are not listed possible for trade.
Hoping someone can clarify whether the "single" Shadow Dagger IS the "Silver Shadow", from the fantasy knife series by Gil Hibben and the now defunct United Cutlery.
Also,I am looking for: (1st prod run preffered) Tiger Shark HIGHLANDER BOWIE The other 2 I am missing (dragon's lair/titan) seem readily available enough.
I am also interested in finding someone/somewhere that might be able to make a display cabinet, bookcase-type, to display this entire collection. I am not interested in the smaller cases.
Once I've completed this collection, I'll be moving on to Kit Rae knives...any advice?
Anyone have any idea where one could acquire the original SHO KOSUGI (SK) NINJA SWORD? It was produced by Kosugi's company, Ninja Enterprises during the 1980s and is very hard to come by nowadays. It differs from the typical new ninja swords that are commonplace on the market now in a few ways:
-The blade is very short, shiny, unsharpened and is made of metal alloy -The handle has a removable cap with a spike protruding from it -The tip of the scabbard is a removable dagger -The scabbard also houses a breathing tube
If anyone knows anything about it, Id love to hear from you! I am also interested in 80s era Ninja swords other than the "SK."
