There is a good bit of confusion with china made knives .. There is a good bit of buyers out there that really do not know that a lot of the brands that they are caring are ether made in china or at lease put together there .. For instants Rough Rider is a great all around pocket knife that carrys a razor shape edge & is very beautiful in there makes and models .... China ... Schrade .... Which is Old Timers , Uncle Henry , X-Timers & so on is made in China ... Buck knives .. All day long in china .. This does not mean that the knife is no good .. Schrade is a better knife and was bought out by Taylor Brands in 2004 .. This is where the started with the 440 stainless steel blades and also was the last year that they where here in the US .. Still a Fantastic knife , Still a Razor Sharp blade & still made in china ... There is not much any more that is not imported in some way .. Knowing what a knife is makes things very easy to shop for one but if you really do not know what it is that you are looking for do some research about the knife you are needing ... What is the knife going to be used for ??? What are the jobs the knife needs to do ??? Are you going to carry this knife on your person ???? Is size a problem ??? Is this knife needed for protection ????? Knives are on of the first and most used tools out there & there will always be a need for a cutting tool of some kind ... Swords are another big thing if you dont know what your looking for ... I have very beautiful Cold Steel swords for sale that can range all the way to over a thousand bucks but do you really need a sword to cut through bamboo ?????? If your looking to collect for a vale as far as the price going up then I can under stand that but if you want a sword thats pretty and to hang on the wall then save your money and buy a sword just as beautiful at a fraction of the cost ... Indians used sticks .. LOL .. ok so ... Do the research & shop smart .. Thanks Amy
Just wanted to share this with you guys. Now you can get, up to 36% of the seller's fees whenever you buy something on eBay, and if you have an ebay store or items for sale you can list it for FREE. Your listing will be seen by an active community of eBayers who have made millions of dollars in eBay purchases through this website in the past year alone.
I tried to list a couple vintage Gerber Touche' Belt Buckle knives on eBay and my listings were terminated and my fees were confiscated. Is there anything I can do about this? I have searched eBay past listing and see that other similar knives were allowed in the past. Anyway, does anyone know where I can list my knives for sale? They are quite legal in the US. 906 477-6325 arhutchinsonjr@gmail.com
Hi everyone, I've recently joned e-bay and am looking forward to neighborhood chats. We have a few knives, we order them from A.G. Russell out of Arkansas
How stainless got the bad rap. Chinese 440 steel. I buy, sell and collect and restore knives since I cut the tip off my finger with my 8th birthday present in 1961. Yesterday at a flea market I scored 2 vintage USA stainless steel knives. I cleaned them up and made a few passes on a vintage hollow grind wetsharp machine. One was marked EnglishtownCrafts 440 (who dem??) but was very hard metal and took a nice edge unlike the China and Paky knives. The other was a Dexter Chef with "stain free hi-carbon" steel the really impressed me with it's edge and hardness, but it did have a few rust pits as a trade off. The chinese 440 is made soft to be polished to mirror, not to cut. ANY COMMENTS?? By the way I am a recent convert to WUSTHOF GRAND PRIX stainless kitchen tools, they hold an edge better then my old Sabatier carbon tools. HERETIC!!!!!! LOL kafer70
