I am slowly trying to get the hang of driving it like a stick shift. But I dont want to mess it up. Ok well I tried once and well I was not doing something right. I know how to drive stick shift, but for some reason when I tried on my car it was not the same. So I got scared and just left it alone. Will driving it stick shift save on gas? Or that really doesn't matter?
does the ls have not sure what its called but when weight is put on the car it lifts. I had a 90 continental that did. now i have a 04 lincoln ls and sometimes i think it does maybe its just in my head. can someone tell me what to look for to see if it does. thanks
I have a 1994 Lincoln Contentinental an the front shocks have been repalced and the compressor has been replaced also. The problem that I am having is that the front air bags (Both) pump up and stays up but the rear of the car does not pump up at all do I need to buy a new ride control computer? Some one Help
I have and 82 Mark VI and an 86 Mark VII. I've seen some questions that I can answer.
Someone was asking about adjusting the compass in the overhead console of a Mark VII. My compass used to be almost funny, I could be driving straight and it would change readings by 180 degrees or more. Also my temperature reading wouldn't always work. I would have to press the switches for the compass and temp a half dozen times in an attempt to get them to work.
I guarantee the solution will sound strange. After I replaced my radio antenna mast, everything worked just fine. I couldn't believe it myself, so I disconnected and antenna wire and went for a drive. I once again had the exact same problems.
So, if your overhead colnsole isn't working properly, replace the antenna mast.
Recently we purchased a 96 Mark Viiii lsc for $1700 at a local charity auction.
We drove the car and it seemed to run well.
We took it in to the shop to be sure all maintenance was done and everyting waa working well.
We've now spent about $2299 on it and it has new idler arms and ball joints in the front, new brake pads, oil gas water and other systems are all working.
The car is beautiful, pearl white, and with the mustng 4.66 liter engine it is a real jackrabbit.
I love to drive it, and I want to share my enthusiasm about it.
Send me your loving stories of your Mark Viii, I'd like to make a short video for you tube so if you have any images or film clips to send, they are welcome and can be put in the video.
I intend to include the shop owners where my repairs have been made.
This car is a genuine miracle, and economical to drive too.
I'm slated for the factory replacement kit to be installed monday at a local ford dealer regarding recall on the cruise control for this model.
My email is robert.rbobbyleestacy and my domain is gmail.com, just add the @W sign inbetween and send.

Good Morning! We have a very nice, well maintained 1990 Lincoln Continental we will soon be disassembling and selling part for part on eBay. The interior is in VG to Near-Mint condition, full navy blue leather, and we were wondering if anyone had a recommended resource for Freight Shipping on the larger parts in the U.S., such as the complete leather interior? If anyone has a need for ANY parts for this particualr model, just let us know and we can most likely set up a private listing for you on eBay. Most of the parts are interchangeable/will fit all 1988 to 1994 models. The vehicle is practically all Factory and Repair-Free.
THANKS MUCH!!! Have a Great Weekend, TNS c/o CHAOTICZ Cars & Customs
