I highly recommend a book written by a friend of mine entitled, "The Ordinary Life of a Military Woman". She is retired Air Force and you can purchase the book at her publisher's web site which is publishamerica.com. I give it a 5 out of 5 with 5 being the highest! It is a page turner and I finished reading it in a little over a week. I personally know this woman and am pleased with her first published book and wish her many more successes! When you go to Publish America's web site, search under Dianna Wells Shire. You wont regret it.
Each time US military members deploy Special Kindness In Packages strives to send them care packages. We do this through volunteers. We do this through donations. We can't do this without America's help.
Special Kindness In Packages is now a member of the eBay Giving Works program and is also brand new to the eBay community. So, we are asking that you help guide this path.
Please link us up with sellers that might wish to help make sending these care packages possible. If you are a seller, please consider listing us as the beneficiary for a percentage of the final sale price of some of your items each week. We can't do this without you and we'd appreciate any assistance you might be able to offer as we embark on this new journey so aptly named eBay.
Thanks in advance for your help and a huge thank you to our men and women in uniform!
We need your help! Wisconsin is currently in the process of trying to pass legislation to remove ANY ex-military vehicles from their roads. They've already started by revoking the registrations of all Wisconsin Pinzgauer owners and are currently searching for any vehicles registered "in error" by looking for military model/vin numbers. We've been told that "Ducks" (DUKW) are on the radar along with any vehicle originally manufactured for military use. The Department of Motor Vehicles here considers military vehicles as "vehicles built to substandard specifications" and unsafe to the public. Please share your disagreement with a simple phone call and lots of emails to the following people; 608-266-1500 for Linda Lewis (Linda.Lewis@dot.state.wi.us) or 608-261-0126 for Paul Nilsen (paul.nilsen@dot.state.wi.us). This is a huge concern to all of us interested in collecting or restoring ex-military vehicles. Your state could be next. Please forward this information to anyone you think can help especially any of our representatives in Washington with military background. I can be contacted at 608-438-3700
Like that post, and hope that it all turns out very well.. I will attend a carshow this weekend, where all proceeds are going to the Blue Star Mothers, and they will be sending packages for our troops...THAT, is great...! This is a good time of year to host an event like this, in YOUR town, state, where ever...Lets all help, and support our troops, just as WE would have liked to have had, when WE served !!! God Bless our Great Country
