I thought it might be a good idea to introduce yourself, and share some mountain bike info.
I'm Traci - 33 years old, married to a mountain bike junkie, and live in Sandy, Utah.
I have been riding mountain bikes for about 5 years. I ride a *pink* Titus Moto-lite and a Kona Stinky Deelux and am lucky to be so close to SO many diverse trails. I love riding cross country in Park City, downhill at Deer Valley, and freeriding in Moab. I also love to travel to ride, and hope to get to Whistler next fall. Some of my favorite places to ride are Moab, Brian Head, and Big Sky.
Hi everyone, I just turned 50 in April and would like to know what size, type, and brand of bike is appropriate for me for everyday riding. I'm average height 5' 6" tall. My last bike, about 20 years ago, was a mountain bike that I truly loved and road daily, but today I'm not quite as flexible and need to work up my stamina. I'm more interested now in an easy ride that will give me room to grow and one that will give me good exercise on a daily basis. Any help or suggestions? My budget is in the $400 range. I would really appreciate your advice.
Hi, I am fairly new to mountain biking and I am looking to buy my first decent mountain bike. I have the opportunity to buy a Trek 8700 Carbon for what I think is a good price $200.00. Does anybody have any suggustions about this. I have read other posts that say it is a rare bike but I think that person was trying to sell theirs. I realize it is an older bike but right now I can not afford a new one with all of the same features. Please let me know if that is a good deal?
Im new to the whole mountian biking scene and i was just wondering if some of yall veterans could tell me what yall think about pedals. I have just basic pedals right now but i was thinking about geting some caged ones. What would yall suggest
I have just started riding for exercise and to work. I seem to have a problem with the seat on my bike. It creates soreness and irritation in some very sensitive areas. There are several types of seats on the market including the two section seat, as well as the ism and so-called healthy comfort saddles. Are there any out there who have any experience with these or any others? I want to keep riding but it is difficult when I have to take a break from it to heal up. Thanks
Hi, I'd like to buy a used mountain bike but I have never owned one. I am a very tall female -- 5' 10" - how do I know what size is right for me. How do I measure? I see different sizes listed 18", 20"k 26" - what do those mean? What should I look for in a used bike? I will only be using the bike for leisure rides in Florida with the local activity club - we actually don't have any mountains where I live. Thanks, Jenifer
i have one in excellent condition that has only been ridden on the road and i am finally buying a road bike. what do potential buyers want to know in the seller listing?
