The first valve of my BB-flat tuba (F.E. Olds & Son (Fullerton) Serial 744826) is cracked and could fail at any moment. I am told that there is a good chance that a valve from an Olds - Fullerton tuba would be a suitable replacement.
If you have such a horn that is otherwise unplayable (perhaps using it as a planter), I would appreciate hearing from you.
My son has really got into drums since we bought "Rock Band" for the PS3 and he is really good. His B-Day is coming up and I want to buy him real Electrical Drums. I want something that is good quality but not toooo expensive. I've done a little research and it looks like the best ones on the market right now are the Alesis and Roland, but they are a little out of my price range. Does anyone have any suggestions? Please Help. His B-Day is the second week of March, so I need to stop procrastinating.
1. Get a lot of THICK foam padding - the stuff you put on your bed with the curved depressions. Pack into the cavity *underneath* the harp snuggly, and then on top of the harp (tone bars). Then put the harp cover back on so it is nice and secure. 2. Put padding on top of the keys and then put the cover on. 3. Use packing tape and wrap the entire piano being sure to cover the latches and ALL EIGHT corners in your rotation. Go around at least 4 times. 4. Get cardboard (old broken down boxes, etc.) and tape it onto the piano, being sure to cover all the areas of the tolex, and then cut out slots so all the handles show through. You don't need to find a box per se that will fit the piano, all you need is scrap sheets of cardboard to create a "shell" around the unit (double sheet the bottom). The thicker the better. 5. Write FRAGILE and UP with arrow all over the box, piano will travel standing tall. (maybe this means nothing to shipper, but it gives you peace of mind).
Hi there, i have a Fender Squire Strat Affinity Series Electric Guitar, with a crate mx10 amp, and a Boss MD-2 pedal and a bunch of extras i am looking to sell on ebay. How much would something like this go for? I have never sold any musical stuff on here, just toys and electronics. How should i ship it? to cut down on shipping cost and to ensure the item does not get damaged i was thing about disassembling the guitar and bubble wrapping it. Is that good? Let me know what you all think.
Just a warning to all of you who look at banjos. If you see a listing entitled "RARE PREWAR 1931 VINTAGE GIBSON TENOR BANJO ANTIQUE", be very cautious. The listing will include instructions to contact the seller and avoid the bidding process by agreeing to send him $1000.00 via Western Union. It's a scam. I know, because I fell for it. I'm embarassed to admit it, but he sent a very elaborate invoice that looked like an eBay transaction. In hind sight, I should have known, but it's too late now. The money went to Romania. Romania is a hub for cyber crime, I'm finding out. Just a friendly note to beware. I don't want this guy doing it to someone else. His user ID is "silversoulfly6". At least, that's the one he used recently. He just re-listed the same banjo he ripped me off with and I reported it.

I have been half owner of a 2003 Pramberger Edition 6 foot grand piano for a little over a year since the death of our mother. We know very little about how to reach buyers or market the item. The only thing we have done is had it appraised. How can we sell this item? Please help.
I'm just getting to know this market. Please post if you want to discuss makers, players, buyers, sellers, woods, keys, technique, etc. and how they relate to our wonderful instrument.
