Does anyone else find it annoying that *Prints* are allowed to be listed in the same category as *Original art*? ... So many times I've been looking for a OOAK painting/artwork and find something I love only to find out is a PRINT... technically a print isn't art, it is a glorified "copy" ... it should be mandatory that prints are listed in a PRINT category, and only ORIGINALS be listed in the "Art by Artist" category.
I'm not allowed to list "like new" for a used clothing item, even though it's true, because it upsets people doing a search for "new" ... well it upsets me to look in the art category and have to weed through myriad "prints" ... uggh.... how does everyone else feel about this? ..
I've been selling art on Ebay for 12 years now. I'm thinking that I might be the oldest artist on eBay, but if you're older than 69 let's hear from you. It's been fun selling on eBay, although it is definitely a secondary market for art, it is more interesting to deal directly with the client/customer.
Ok this is the story that never ends and the rules are as follow. No user can ever post 2 times in a row..you have to at least let one person post after you so you may post again. You can have up to 10 words, nothing more!Use your imagination..think of something funny! I found an oil on wood original by Medina. All I know is his/her name. On the back of the frame, it says, "Hecho en Mexico" 8x10, and the hand-written number 1391. Is anyone familiar with this artist?
The strange thing is I search and search franklin water color and nothing comes up. I have an original peice of artwork and on the back is the franklin water color seal and the numbers 6324 stamped in black. It is signed by Inez. There are two paintings of a redhead clown and a dog. One is titled Hans and Fritz, the other is Pepe and Pete. I can't find anything on the artist or clowns either. I hope that someone on here can help point me in the right direction. Thanks
I was wandering if anyone could help me ? I plan on making a few things in metal and would like any suggestions on painting metal but the rust and colors of the heated metal can be painted with a clear coat or something
