Today, I saw in a resale shop, a beautiful little top/jacket made from a folded pashmina scarf. I have several of these scarves and would like to know how to make one of these. The shop wanted $80 for this.I know I can make one - just need some guidance. HELP

Hello to my fellow sewing fanatics! I love all kinds of sewing but specialize in designing and making custom bridal/special occasion gowns. Due to the needs of my clients I realized how difficult it was for people to find fine quality bridal laces and fabrics so I started offering my items to the Ebay community. It has been a pleasure to become acquainted with other sewing friends all over the world. Some are dressmakers, designers, doll lovers and they are very talented and creative. Please feel free to visit my store for some wonderful 'eye candy'. I am always open to questions or suggestions. Best regards and Happy Sewing! Bridalgal55-Anna's Bridal Lace and Fabrics
Hey everyone! I just found this site, I LOVE sewing, smocking, embroidery (hand) and crocheting. There is just not enough hours in the day to do it all, though! I am an RN and I also have a part time photography business. That is another one of my passions--photography! I am looking forward to "meeting" you all! Heather
I don't sew like I used to.....now I sew mainly crafts and clothing repair so only use my machine a couple times a month. It's been a long time since I've oiledl my machine. It seems to be working ok but I've long ago misplaced my manual. The thing I hated the most is it seemed the oil hung around for a long time, getting on the fabric so I always ran scrap fabric through the feed until I was sure there would be no more damage.
I have a 25 year old Kenmore, just straight and a few decorative stitches, but it is attached to an old cabinet, so to take in for servicing means quite a bit of work....since it's not portable.
Do any of you "service" your own, and do you know the secret of keeping the oil from getting all over as you sew, I don't think I overfill, just a few drops.
Hi I am new to this group and as soon as I find my pedal to my sewing machine for a good price since I am broke lol I will be sewing again. Come see what I have for auction so far.
Currently I buy most of my fabric and other items off line I miss feeling the fabric, but the selection is better and it's like shopping from the Sears catalog.
Hello = ) I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and am in desperate need of a good doll seamstress that can make clothing for antique dolls with vintage and newer materials. Looking for the classic vintage look, Victorian, Edwardian in style, mostly child patterns with occasionally French Fashion looks. If all you can do is the basic dress and underpinnings that's fine, I can always to the finishing touches on the outfits. Right now I have a German child doll, 18 inches looking to be outfitted. If you have the know-how and interest, PLEASE contact me at ladyofartane@aol.com.
Hi all, Havent been here for a while, but I recently got in some more of my favorite hem clips and I wanted to let you know they are up for sale. I love these cause they have easy to read inch and cm measurements and they are wide enough to be very easy to handle, even when your hands are full with the fabric. They make a great "pinless" way to hold delicate fabrics such as silks that would run or catch when using conventional pins. Check them out, and pass the word along to anyone that might need these great sewing tools Item number: 120289049798
I have opened a store on eBay which I 'm continually learning to develop and customize. Please visit my site and sign up for newsletter and email sale promotions. I look forward to discussions and input in this new neighborhood.
