Hello Everyone, I attended the "Conversation with Stephen King & Richard Russo" book signing event at Mt.Holyoke College in So.Hadley, Mass last Thursday Nov 6th, 2008. I got my book "Just After Sunset" signed by him and will NEVER sell it until I'm really old and grey!!
You may HEAR the entire event on Pro Trucker Podcast on iTunes, or direct download from http://pokertrucker.libsyn.com
I sat in the front row left, about 4th seat from isle. In front of one of the speakers. Mr.King sat in the middle of Richard Russo and the Narrator. At times he was facing in my direction. I, along with many people, snapped some photos' of him. I had my little iRiver recorder in my bag and got all the audio. I apologize in advance for the sound quality. Not only did they (Stephen King, Richard, Narrator) have sound problems, but I was so close to the speaker that my sound was a bit distorted. But I got a good seat and was so excited to be there.
I drove up from Florida on my vacation. You may also read my blog and see photos' at www.myspace.com/protruckerpodcast
I am downloading the entire audiobook of "Just After Sunset" so I can listen while I drive. I am a long haul truck driver and drive every day!! Except 4 days off a month, and vacation!!
Stephen King ROCKS!! He's a wonderful story teller. I have to re-list some of the Stephen King items I have to sell. I will do that in the next few days as time allows. Oh, and you can check out my store www.MyYango.Com I should have some Stephen King items for sale there. My ebay stuff falls off after 7 days and I have to re-list them.
I'll go first :) The Stand. No. Scratch That. It's the Long Walk. OK I can never decide which of the 2 I like better :) What is your favorite Stephen King book?
Hello there I am new to ebay and am getting ready to sell part of my Stephen King collection.I have been collecting the books for almost 20 years and do not have room for them anymore. How do I find out what the value of the books are? I am going to keep an eye on the auctions but the same book will have a price of $2 and $200. I am lost!
I have #375 of a special signed limited edition of 500, By Barry Hoffman. It is in pristine condition, signed by 32 Authors INCLUDING Stephen King!!! It was appraised at $600. I have searched all over the net, and have yet to find another copy for sale. Does anyone know if there is a market enough on eBay to list it? Or know of the best way and place to sell it to obtain it's true worth? Any suggestions or tips would be very appreciated!

so i notice that a lot of us have experienced "events" while reading SK stories that correspond with what is taking place in that particular book. i myself have had this happen quite a lot,and would like to hear about other constant readers' experiences.my first experience was while reading tommyknockers for the first time (age 13) and had problems with my teeth and the female area.....what about you?
i can not tell you how happy i am to see all of the passion i feel for stephen kings novels and short stories reflected in all of your discussions. so i just wanted to say hi and announce my arrival to this group. so hello all, i hope to have many more discussions with you guys in the future.
I can't believe it, people who feel me when I say these words..."Stephen King is a genius!" I am happy to be here. I hope to be of some assistance since I own all of Stephen Kings novels and I am working on owning all of his short stories. That will take awhile. I also own all the comic books of the Dark Tower. So, if you have any questions, feel free to hit me up. Check out my My World page if you wanna know more of where I'm coming from. Peace.
I need help finding the Grant Edition of the 4th Dark Tower. I have most of Stephens books in 1st edition Hardcover and this would be a great addition.
