I have a 2008 Prius and am wondering if anyone has tried the performance chips? Are they worth it? Do they actually improve gas mileage? Just curious to hear what you think... :)
Hi, I just got mine for Christmas and I LOVE IT!! The one thing I seem to be having a problem with is finding accessories for it. Being a smoker I really need the window open and I really need the rain guards so the water doesn't leak in. The only ones I can find are the tape ons. I would like to get the channel set ones. If any one knows of a site or store where I could get them I would be very happy. Thanks.
Before converting my Toyota Prius to PHEV (plug-in-electric-vehicle) in my daily 38 Miles round trip I used to make an average of 48 MPG in side roads and Hwy mixing driving. After the conversion, in the same route I jumped to a fuel economy of 88 MPG with an averaged electrical recharge cost of $.85 cents a day. I know that this numbers sound extremely high but this is the satisfaction of driving now an almost electric car with the advantage on having an ICE ( Internal Combustion Engine) as a back-up source for power in case of necessity, tanks to the generosity of Toyota Motor Co. when I bought the car. So, lets start a comment page about yours and others and everyones fuel economy, what can we do to improve it and share the information with others. Lets start learning tips and tricks to start minimizing oil dependency from sandy eastern soils. Mr Big H
i drove from fort lauderdale to key west and back 400 miles and averaged 54.3 miles per gallon. i was pleased. when the gas gauge gets to the last bar you still have at leat 50 -60 miles left also. i like drivuing them and selling them in indiana.with these fuel prices i hope more people get smarter.
I just purchased a 2008 Prius and I've heard a lot about reading the arrows. I heard it's like an "art". Once you master the knowledge on how to correctly read what the arrows mean, you can drive a certain way and can get at least 75 mpg. I'm too new at this-anyone have thoughts?
Hello! We have a Panasonic Hybrid Converter Unit we will soon list for sale on eBay, and was wondering if it would be more beneficial to offer the used unit as a whole, or offer it piece by piece by selling the internal parts and case individually. This was a previous take-off from a Prius that was in an accident, and one of the sensors were damaged, therefore the unit was replaced. We have the complete unit without the pan. We're just looking for info on which method would be the best to move this unit on eBay. THANKS!!! TNS c/o CHAOTICZ CCS
We also have Prius Emblems for sale/listed in our eBay Store if anyone is in need. We have the rear TOYOTA Name Emblems available, as well as the rear Toyota Oval Emblems.
Anyone have an idea how many miles I can go when the last square on the gas gauge starts flashing? Not sure if I need to immediately head to the gas station or if I can make the commute home first. Very frustrating!
