My husband creates items out of old vinyl record albums and their covers. Items include purses, 3-ring binders, message boards, notebooks, coasters, keychains, and calendars. It is amazing what he can do with an old moldy, stained, water damaged album cover. We are searching for the albums & covers that you WOULD THROW AWAY because they have outlived their life. We are especially looking for hard and classic rock (hendrix, beatles, led zeppelin, elvis, doors, lynnard, madonna, etc.). We would love to come across a huge lot that was damaged in a natural disaster (Katrina, tornado, flood, etc.). If you would like to see what we can create from these classic pieces of history check out: www.rockcycleonline.com If you can help us recycle please contact us!!! We will pay 10-25 cents an album plus the shipping. Not a bad deal for something that would otherwise end up in the local landfill.

Hi, I was wondering what keywords people search when looking for unusual or wacky cover art. Unfortunately, people use "Cheesecake" for anything with a woman on it, so it has become less selective for true cheesecake. thanks! Vinyldoc
That's right. I am willing to pay the cost of actual shipping for your junk. Water damaged covers? No problem. No cover at all? I want it. Lots of scratches and unplayble? Don't throw it away. Send it to a loving home. I am only interested in rock and classic rock. Maybe some early rock n roll depending on what it is. Let me know! thanks. cu
does anyone know of Formosa Records Company? i have the album "the animals on tour" on formosa with japanese label in orange vinyl. i do not have the jacket. thanks, Andy.
This may not matter at all I was just hoping maybe someone would know as I am unable to find out anything about it on ebay or anywhere else online. I have a Janis Joplin Pearl lp and the opening to slide the record in and out of the jacket is on the left side instead of the right. All of the current as well as completed listings show it to be on the right side and I have another copy with it on the right side. I was just wondering if this was perhaps something that could change the value or if it just happens all the time. I can't find any info. about it but am not really adept with lp lingo 'cuz I just started collecting recently so I could be looking in all the wrong places. If anyone knows anything or even if anyone doesn't know anyting about this it would be really great to get a response on this one. Thank you so much if you read this post and even moreso if you can help.

people need to quit making records into clocks and coasters. unless they are totally ruined. it makes me sick people are doing this when they can make money on the actual record than ruining especially 78s from the 1900s-1930s. SO QUIT please.it hurts me i collect them.
