Bought 6 months ago 740gle 1987 wagon, manual, not turbo. When I start car at morning, in cold weather (less then 65 F), first 5 min idling like 2000 (even 3000 sometimes) rpm. Then it is coming lower and after engine complitly warmed up, it is back to normal rpms. Sound is impressive.
I couldn't understand - this is problem or it is special volvo feature? Is it save for cold engine to produce such rpm? I don't see anything like this on 850gle 1996.
I'm building up a Volvo 122 two door as a Rally car. It was pretty much stripped out when I got it and needs a lot of welding to make it road worthy again. I've been gathering up parts and tools for over a year now and will hopefully get it to a sandblaster sometime this winter/spring. Start welding on it in the summer. Anybody doing something similar. Thinking about getting another one later on and making a dragster out of it. Maybe put a new front end on (60's Nova tube frame kit).
Hi All, I'm installing an aftermarket cruise control system on my 1993 240 wagon and can't locate the VSS wire. Anyone know where it is, what color it is, and if I can get at it under the hood or under the dash without taking out the instrument cluster? Thanks!!
Anyone got any suggestions where I can find a drivers side power seat motor for a 2000 S40? Got an oil change today and when they moved the seat back to vacuum the motor burned/shorted out so when they brought my car around the drivers seat was moved back and now I am driving from the back seat! Tried local salvage lot and the dealer wants $215. Thanks
Has anyone purchased a repair manual in a DVD format. I was thinking about getting one, but I'm a little reluctant. I had bought a Ford one a few years ago and wasn't impressed with the content. Thanks
I have a 1995 940 non-turbo Volvo sedan. Finding a cold air intake is a nightmare. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to get one or how to modify one?
