What do you think about South African Art & artists?

Just wanted to let people who do non-firing ceramics and other craft projects that I have put up 48 Duncan acrylic paints for bisqueware and plaster projects up for sale that are either new or barely used. We hope someone who might enjoy these colors and use them will pick them up and make something beautiful and/or have some extra precious holiday fun with their kids.

Delighted to find this neighborhood. I've spend the afternoon reading the post here. God Bless us all. Cancer and our dumb beyond all hope health care system aren't a good mix. LOL, lots of things don't make sense, such as the apparent present market forces set by our Congressional lawmakers which insure only one concept. Getting sick makes some rich. Time to reset. Until then, we've all got to be generous in our small ways to help us all to survive the impositions of greed and wrong way thinking.

I see there are already artist offerings dedicated to the real financial needs of cancer patients. I'm joining this throng of hope. Having an artwork which others might notice, causing them to ask how the buyer came about it, gives the buyer a perfect opportunity to share their concerns and inspire others to act. That's a plus to having an artwork the buyer can simply enjoy on it's own merits.

We might want to join one thread with all the artist doing this.

My first offering ends on the day of my dear friends departure from the pain this insidious disease had gripped her by. She danced in the storm all the way to the end.

Please take a look at the work inspired by Linda Lehrs's life. Please bid. Or, send a note to the auction. I want to find support for doing more like this.

November is my favorite month. I love to see the leaves in the trees change their color and watch the leaves swirl all around me in the streets. I laugh to myself when I drive through the leaves watching them swirl behind me in a whirlwind and wonder if anyone else even notices. I love the smell of fresh turkeys baking and the serenity of the day when everyone is home and not working, spending their time with their precious family. I love to hear the quietness and the peacefullness of November. I look forward to the day when the whole world will be that way someday.

I opened a store on ebay and now I don't know if it was a good idea...it seems to expensive already. I have tried it before, thought if I really read all about it that would make a difference. but for $15.95 a month plus normal prices on outside the store (Like Auction or Buy it now)see numbers below, for more exposure seems to be racking up the money. Jeez, I pay only 48 for a website with more features than this has...anyone else seem to have any opinions about this? I seem to have sold more without the store.

...But, the reality of the "starving artist" is well - a reality. My other world is video writing and producing. So now...(deep breath) as a former Emmy Award winning TV producer...moved back to small town to raise girls (alone) ..they're SUCCESSFULLY raised...Mother recently died...Dad with MS to take care of...Empty-nester who just turned 50....Aaaaargh! Just needed to unload! :)
I have one piece of art listed in the auction area...I'm testing the baby and nursery wall decor area. Feedback?

Hellofellow ebayer!

New here to the HOOD! I did not even know there was a painters hood on Ebay! I have zero time to dedicate to these things, but I just had to get this off my chest and any feedback from anyone would be great!

I have been Ebaying for years, and tried on several attempts to sell my artwork. I had a tiny budget so I could not invest in Featured Plus! and so on and so forth. Nothing happened.

I tried again last year and it picked up. I am selling a few paintings a week- but they are underselling by 300-400 dollars each! I am selling $500 paintings for $20-$50 if I am lucky. NEVER in a gallery have I ever sold this low. I certainly can't afford to. My linen, oils time and materials...it's just well too much.

I am creating a series of different artworks in acrylic and premade canvas supports for these auctions now. Something I said I would never do. I am compromising with everthing. It's beyond me how it's tough selling a $50 painting when it's worth $750!

Anyone else have these issues?
