Hi, My name is Alan and maybe I can help you. I sell secondhand sails and repair materials to the world. I will be writing a series of articles on selecting, fitting, using, repairing, altering (cutting down etc) and caring for second hand sails. I have been trading in secondhand sails here in Sydney Australia since 1983. It's a one man business, so please be patient. I plan to write an article a month, in between running the business and finishing the build of my 36' catamaran. The emphasis will be on do-it-yourself techniques using basic tools and will be within the grasp of most handy men and women. Just wanted to introduce myself to the community! My name is Sarah, I have a 39' Marinette Aft Cabin in Pittsburgh, named GEMINI.
My business is called the Stitchery Studio and consists of one (1) person- ME!
I offer custom embroidery and monogramming on apparrel and accessories to the boating community and small businesses. Because I'm smaller than most embroidery shops, I can offer highly personalized and csutomized services; not to mention better attention to detail!

Some of my favorite ideas are souvenirs for boat guests (hats, ponchos, etc), beach tote bags, bar towels, pillow shams, and of course, polo/golf shirts with your boat's name.
I also have the technology to turn your favorite photo into an embroidery. This is especially nice for coasters, placemats, baseball caps and windbreakers.
