	Love the old country music how bout you ? I still love the old country music. I do enjoy the up to date stuff but not like old Hank or Cline, Jones ... oh I could go on and on. My daddy played country music up until his late 70's and bluegrass too. My late sister who passed away 8 months ago also played. I tried singing. I never mastered to play any thing like they did. 	Country Music Lover Anyone near the Heyworth Illinois area should stop by on Thursday nights. The local VFW and Legion have their country music night. Its a blast. There are young and old people. I think our little town is going to be the next little Nashville. Ive been singing for many years and a few friend and I are getting together to plan a night a month to do a show. 	Oldies in General Hi there. I'm StavinChain, and I'm happy to see you in the Oldies group, whoever you are. I just thought I'd start things rolling by asking what kinds of oldies everyone likes. After all, many people think of oldies as just 1955-(insert ending date of your choice here) rock 'n' roll, but eBay themselves has given us a group picture of MUCH older oldies (the Little Wonder 78s from almost 50 years before that), so it's a logical question. I worked on radio as the first "oldies" disc jockey in my city, and my show was largely 1955-1969 (I added 1970 later in the show's run and never hesitated to play older rhythm & blues & pop that would fit in with the other music), and as far as rock 'n' roll goes, my favorite years are probably 1957, 1963, and 1970. But I also love swing from the Swing Era, older jazz (Armstrong, Bechet, Beiderbecke), and pretty much all pop in general. Plus, my desired tastes run up to approximately 1999 (and even some modern stuff, although that doesn't qualify as oldies...yet). So, let's get the ball rolling, and start chatting!
