ABOUT 'BUMPING' a thread

So, You've posted a reply to a discussion thread in the Jewelry Neighborhood.

After minutes, hours or a few days, that thread is sinking off the first or second page. And you think it needs to rise to the top of the list again.

You can go the the thread and add another comment with as little as one letter or even a punctuation mark. Then the whole thread moves back to the top of the list. Your new 'bump' post is added to the bottom of all comments on that thread.

Or -

You can go back to your prior post within that thread and click on 'edit'. Add, delete or change even one character withing your prior text post. Then click on 'submit'.

And the entire thread goes back to the top of the list - without adding 'bumps' in between comments that people might actually want to read.

Note - you can edit your prior post and add another product listing number. But this will not 'bump' the thread.

Just a suggestion. And I hope you might find it helpful.

My poor puppy Max seems to always get ear infections. I've taken hime to the vet and of course they prescribe antibiotics but I swear it only seems to work a little. I wash his ears on a daily basis with some cleaner and of course the ear drying powder. He walks around trying to scratch his ear or shakes his head I feel so bad for him. I;ve been reading alot of sites that say it can be allergies and I'm wondering if that may be because his eyes seem to be irratated to. Another article I read said to feed him plain yogurt I guess it helps if it is a yeast infection. Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated.

I have a 1992 Subaru SVX that has a charging problem as the engine warms up. When the car is first started, there is a voltage of approx. 14.2 volts at the battery and 14.4 volts at the alternator output (to engine ground). As the engine is run over a matter of 10 minutes, the output has decreased to 13.5 volts at the battery and 13.9 volts at the alternator. These readings are taken with all accessories off. If the lights are turned on, the voltage is .5 volts less at both locations. If the A/C and lights are turned on, the voltage is 12.7 at both locations unless the engine is revved, which raises the output to 13.2 volts. I cleaned and tightened the battery connections and engine/chassis connections with no improvement. Any ideas?

Has anyone noticed the new ebay interface when searching for tickets?

It doesn't allow you to scan the section and row for a particular event!! What is wrong with these guys!

I have to click on every single item individually to see what section/row the tickets are for.

Please let me know if you see another way to get around this.

5. We probably don't need to send an email asking, "Where's my...", one or two days after the auction. Many of us sellers do so much more than sell. Some of us have, "families", others, "jobs", where we, "earn a living". We'll ship your item as soon as we can.

6. Let's think about that Bad Feedback you're about to send. You waited a little more than you thought was cool? The item you got a massive, screaming deal on is just not quite what you had in mind? Or it didn't look exactly like the photograph? Well, gee. Bad feedback is a killer for online sellers, so how inconvenienced were you, really?

7. If you live in one of those countries where the postal workers steal stuff, or just work extraordinarily slowly, or both, then let's keep that in mind. In fact, maybe you shouldn't order from me.

8. Hi, I speak English. Reason being, this is Ebay DOT COM. On Ebay.de they speak German, and on Ebay.it they speak Italian. There's just all manners of Ebays. Here's an example: Ebay.fr is all in French. I don't speak French. Imagine the wacky confusion arising if I clicked around there! Mon dieu!

9. No, your item is not counterfeit. No, it's not. I know, because I work with said items all the time, and anyway, I don't buy fakes in the first place. If you think you were sold a fake, please a)complain and send it back for a refund. Or, b)shut up and keep it. Either of these options works. What doesn't work is; a)complaining and keeping it, and b)demanding a refund and keeping it. (Please see Point 3)

10. You didn't receive your item? Well, my tracking states clearly that you did. Maybe you should look in the mirror for a few minutes.
