Your discussion caught my eye because I am looking to purchase an MP3 player for a present. Could you elaborate a little more for me....buyer beware more than usual in this category of purchases? Thanks
Just purhcased a 4 Gig MP3 from China. Will get errors after you try loading more than 1 Gig. The hack is a file that tricks windows into showing that there is 4 Gig of Memory. This website tells you how to fix it and what errors you will see::
I also bought a "cheap" MP3 player with an expansion SD Card slot, chinese made, too. Worked fine then Display started giving me problems so I contacted seller and got a Return authorization and returned it. Luckily, insured mail. A month later they stated, after enquery, that they never got it. Now Post Office says that they did get it, three days after I mailed it!
Now know this. The US Poastal Service now traces Insured Mail. You can't do it online but they can do it for you and give you verban confirmation of delivery of your insured item.
If your seller says "Not recieved" or "Lost in the mail" you have recourse to trace the item and find out if it was delivered.
I cannot tell you which item I bought, or the sellers name at present as I am waiting for seller to reply to my email stating that they got my item. Further action may be pending.
I have bought 5 - 1GB minis from Hong Kong, all under the $25.00 price, all of them work just fine, I hate downloading and love a variety of music and also download seminars so I just grab the colour of the day, I know whats is on them and away I go. These Minis are identical to the Apple Minis. I even bought some cute apple stickers and when i show my friends they go nuts at the price I payed, AND THEY ALWAYS LIKE MY APPLE BETTER. GOOD LUCK IN CHOSEN YOUR MP3.
I am not sure what this means. I purchased one. The items was listed as having Flash Memory. When I connected the device to my PC, I checked the properties of the device. I located the drive in My Computer, right clicked the drive. The two devices that I purchased both claimed, and had, 4 and 8GB. Is this information bogus?
