do anyone know of any good old school kung fu movie such as five deadly venom, progdical son, shaolin vs wutang etc... or even new kung fu movies like crouching tiger, house of fliying daggers,iron monkey, nothing with gun play
Jet Li's "Fists of Fury" is totally awesome, almost no wire-fu, just serious martial artistry. Great story, great fights, this is a must have for any wu xia fan.
If you're into the fantasy type kung fu movies, the Chinese Ghost Story trilogy is pretty good, as is Zu Warriors. Hero is fantastic. You must see Stephen Chow's "Kung Fu Hustle", it's funny yet a good story. Plenty of wire fu and special effects there.
"Dirty Ho" is said by many to be the ultimate kung fu flick. This is a Gordon Liu/Shaw Brothers film. It's pretty good, I wouldn't say it was the "ultimate" but it gets rave reviews.
