It all depends on your price range. You can get into the game these days with a low end yet competitive AEG from JG for under 200.00 with everything you need to get started.

well i wont being doing this competitive, just toying around for fun, im looking into pistols now, not really interested in rifils, i picked up a ukarms full metal spring pistol, im also looking at a UHC m92f spring, as for as electric goes, probably looking into a cyma glock 18c or a tokyo marui m9, nothing too expensive, just a nice feeling, realistic looking gun

I would avoid the CYMA G18c if possible. The internals are pretty hit-or miss.

If you want to screw around with something fun but inexpensive buy a spring pistol off of Ebay, I have the 92fs beretta which is mainly plastic but is very strong and not very expensive. Also, if you want a fun, reliable, and powerfule gun then get a Smith and Wesson shotgun. It shoots over 300fps with .2g and i got one off of ebay for $20 which is really cheap. I would suggest electric guns but it wouldn't be worth buying an electric if you're looking for target practice guns.
