SWAN AMP

Hello I was wondering if anyone knows much about this amplifier. I have one and it quit working. Can someone please help anything at this point would be great. If you know of anywhere I can either get a manual, repair kit or someone that would know more about it. Anything helps thanks!

looking for a real good picture of the bottom deck of a swan mark 1 i have some stuff around the filament choke area burned i like to repaire it please someone send me a picture to wizmajic@ juno.com thanks

You should start looking in the power supply section. You say it quit, and that can mean a number of things. Do any of the lights come on? Is it totally dead or just partially? If power comes on in any way then you're going to be looking past the power supply, but if there is no power, then that is were you should start. If it blows fuses, then I would lift the power out (remove the output of the power supply from the rest of the circuit and see if the power supply has an output voltage when you re-apply power. If yes, then something else is a problem further down the line. You can do a lot of troubleshooting without schematics if you know what to look for. Its possible that the finals are shorted and that is a simple replacement, but start with the power supply. - Press Send
