WHAT IS A DOWNY DUNK????

Everyone keeps mentioning a Downy Dunk for dry hair. Can someone tell me exactly how to do it? I've tried soaking the dry ends in Unscented Downy and then rinsing in cold water -- it does get a little softer but still looks dry. I'm afraid to try the steam method to get back the shine -- any other ideas? Does the Downy Wrinkle Remover method really work?

You may need to soak them over night.
I have soaked marisol for 2 days. Just go and move it around in the downey and keep the hair wet.
Be sure and rinse well and let air dry.
You can also roll it in sponge rollers for a curl.
DO NOT BLOW DRY .

it does work more times than not to soak the dolls hair in downy ,BUT, it can leave it looking dull. so yes you can steam it but NOT with an IRON. use a PLASTIC steamer that you can get for about 10.00 on ebay or your local store. all you do is set it on low and lay the doll down face first so as not to steam her eyes and with a brush steam and brush down the hair until silky smooth . shouldnt take more than a minute or two. then if you want curl mist the dolls hair and use curlers that are not going to yank the dolls hair when comming out. set the rollers over night and test one to see if its dry if it is then use your fingers NOT a brush or the curl will come out fast...like Nikki has to have finger styled or a hair pick to style.

I have for years rejuvenated Barbie hair by washing in very warm water and dry hair shampoo-lanolin works the best. Towel dry. Then I soak it for about 10 minutes in a 1 part Downy to 3 parts water. Then I towel dry and then blow dry with no heat. I tried it on Molly-who is 19-when her hair was dry and it worked just as well.
