I was just wondering if I was the only person that likes Saiyuki in the whole world. There just doesn't seem to be that many fans for such an awsome show.
I hate to bash on saiyuki but I gave it more than one chance and I thought it was boring and droning. I'm not into the whole yaoi type art style and vibe it has either.
Don't let my user pic fool ya, I hate Saiyuki. Kust kidding. Im like 1/2 way on this anime. I used to love it, actualy, the original series and movie are still one of my favorite animes. I'll tell you what killed it for me, ADV's lack of commitment.
ADV didn't pick up the sequels to Saiyuki, and let Geneon (another anime powerhouse [before they closed their doors]) finish it up for them.
Saiyuki just doesn't feel the same without the original dub voice actors (Greg Ayres' Son Goku is one of the best characters ever). Don't get me wrong, the geneon voice actors are great on their own account, especially Lex Lang, Tony Oliver and Steve Cannon (aka Steve Staley) ...
