Has anybody watched the series Samurai 7. It's an anime version of the old B & W movie. What's neat about the show is that there is a combination of future and past. What I mean is that these samurai come to help a village defend their rice from the emperor. It's quite obvious by the huts they are living in that this doesn't take place in the present or future. Yet, part of the emperors soldiers, are a group of robots. You would think that the time difference would be upsetting to the viewer, but it's really not. It actually fits very well.

I love this show. The character development rocks and the art is superb. Very well done. I haven't seen the original Movie, (its on my list!) but if its half as good as the Anime, I'll be sure to love it as well. I'd love to talk about this show, but don't want to spoil it for you if you haven't seen it. While its not in my top 10, its definitely in my top 20 :).
