Does anybody knows any good website to find garage sales, yard sales and estate sales?
I know of creglist, but sometimes it becomes a pain to find the right ones. I am looking for a more user friendly site.
If this site doesn't exist, I am thinking of creating a mega database website with nothing but garage, yard, and estate sales. Give me your suggestions.
I agree, Craigslist is difficult to navigate regarding the local estate sales and such.
It's suprising to me that there aren't more useful sites already for these type of sales. I think it has to do with all the different cities it would have to incorporate onto the site and the listings changing weekly.
If your city has a website, then look for an icon listing the sales in your area. Our city just started having this little icon about 6 months ago, but I don't think that most people think to use it, yet. Best bet is still the local newspapers
I don't like cragslist, personally. But, I do love Kijiji ! Great for garage sales, estate sales, as well as specific items. It's somehow affiliated with eBay, I'm sure someone will clarify just how; it's like a local bulliten board, you'll find everything there.
Unfortunately, and I don't know why, it doesnt' seem to be available in the States. Perhaps there is something else available that eBay has its fingers in, aside from the obvious.
Try google (location) "garage sale" or "estate sale" or "moving sale" etc, remove the ()'s but keep the quotes.
You're bound to run across a few specialized sites that way.. and meet your local bargain hounds too!
I was going to tell you about craigslist but so has everyone else. If you want an estate auction go to auctionzip.com, it will give you a monthly calander showing all the auctions in your area. All you do is type in your zip code and select either 30, 50 or 75 mile radius of your home and it gives you every auction taking place. Some have pictures, some are for land but that is what I use and also tell all my ebay friends about.
hi- just what i need another source for places to spend money! two other helpful sites are- estatesales.net& eauctionexchange.com. local newspapers also good, as well as flyers in the antique shops. HAVE FUN!
How nice would a site like that be?No more sifting through the teeny-tiny print .In NJ they used to have a small catalog each month you could buy at news stands called Want AD Press. It was fabu!Found lots of great stuff.Alas, have not seen WAP in years.Does it still exist?

HI ALL, BACK WHEN THINGS WERE TIGHT & ROUGH AND WITH CHILD NUMBER 2 HAVING JUST ARRIVED, A NEIGHBOR IN OUR APARTMENT COMPLEX TOLD US ABOUT FREE-CYCLE.
IT'S BEEN SOME YEARS AND WE KNOW THAT THEY CHANGED THE NAME, BUT GOOGLE SHOULD HAVE THE NEW NAME OR CACHED OF THE OLD SITES. IT WAS IN MOST EVERY STATE AND MOST COUNTIE. BASICALLY INSTEAD OF THROWING AN ITEM AWAY YOU'D POST IT ON YOUR LOCAL FREECYCLE SITE FOR FREE INSTEAD OF PAYING FOR A NEWSPAPER AD OR THROWING IT AWAY.
IF MEMORY SERVES CORRECT IT WAS A YAHOO GROUPS SITE.
