yes you can because thats how i activated my apple iphone. i purchased it at the apple stoe though. if u buy it at the att store i think they will try to make u get a 2 year contract.

yes I have two of those cards in 2 different iphones.I bought both cards of e-bay and use my gophone account to add minutes.There are also some sellers on e-bay such as pinzoo who sell minutes for the sim card or you can go to WALMART and buy the cards to add minutes.Make sure you have edge turned off on your iphone though or you will see your minutes disappear that you bought.Use bosstools under installer and turn off edge also turn it off under settings.
