Can you Help me figure out what this Knife is?

You see My Grandmother has so many items that had to do with the WWII and Military and I'm trying to figure this one particular...? If you know exactly what it is called and how much is worth if anything I would appreciate it's says Philippines Is. Oct.20.1944 and it's a Long size knife about the size of an Arm. Thanks

My hubby says there is a very high possibility that the knife could have been hand made and has no known name except for a regular fighting knife for the Filipinos back then. He also suggests going to an appraiser just in case. Dont wanna sell something for less then what it just might be worth.
