Has anyone else heard about this? A few months ago I heard on the news that baby products with certain ingredients have been known to cause cancer. They said that PEG and any ingedient ending with the letters ETH when combined together are cancer causing. This is very sad if it is true cause most companies such as Johnson & Johnso and Aveno Baby have these in their products. The only baby wash I can find free of both ingredients is called California Baby it is an organic baby shampoo/wash. This is a big community so I was just hoping that someone else had heard about it.
Skindeep.com This is a great way to research baby products and many others they use a scale system of 0-10 10 being highly toxic. California baby rates a 1 which is pretty good. The shampoo and baby wash that I sell is a 3(earth's best/jason naturals) but all the other baby product by Earth's best rate a 1. You can search this database for almost anything. It is very interesting and useful.
I use Arbonne baby, I really like it and my little girl does so well with it. I know that they use alot of natural ingredients, however it does have the ingredients Peg-120 methyl glucose and peg- 80 sorbitan Laurate ( is this the PEG you are talking about?). I have seen the California baby but I never tried it. Does your baby do well with it?
Yeah that is the PEG that I was talking about but from what I heard as long as the PEG isn't combined with an Ingrediant that ends in ETH than its fine. My son does really well with the california baby only I miss the smell that Johnson and Johnson use to leave that baby smell after his baths he smell kinda lemony fresh which I wouldn't associate with a baby. nogbyann says that it rates a 1 on the being toxic Thats the best score there is, only I cant seem to get to the website she listed.
